Industrialization in the west attracted all the artisans to the factories. Factories improved the quality of life for the masses. Workers made steady wages, consumers benefited from the gadgets that made life easier. Art suffered across the board. That was the trade off.

This is one the most painfull question ever asked. The answer is so painfull and depressive and demoralising, that I keep it locked down so deep, that I can hardly access it.

People stopped paying for them. Seriously there's still wonders being build. Like that stupid tall building in Dubai. You want a wonder, you got a trillion dollars? We can work something out.

I’m not sure we are capable of building wonders any more. In fact I think it’s a bad assumption that we even could if we wanted to.

As we travel the world, we keep asking the same question. How did we lose the ability to build such wonders? It's a shame.

Money. Look at the cost of restoring Notre-Dame after the fire.

The same for language and prose. I used to read across this great land. The purveyors of our decadent culture sought otherwise. They hate genius. They hate creativity that they do not possess.

This was before private Central banks. And before they stripped the value of your money through inflation and deflation of the buying power

They couldn't do it because they found these marvelous structures already built and took them over. The big lie is claiming to be their builders.

Profit > Art. It's as simple as that.

We’ve forgotten how; we’ve forsaken our souls and their origination, abused our talents, and as a result creating things that are beautiful is no longer our highest aspiration.
