Why did Jesus curse the fig tree?🌳

Jesus cursed the fig tree, He would never, ever curse us. We don't represent the tree. He died for us, He is NOT cursing us. OH MY GOODNESS, you sure do have to be careful what you hear on the internet, this is definitely NOT a good teaching.

The fruitless tree represented Israel at the time, specifically their Pharisaical leadership. They professed to be the keepers of truth but they didn’t even recognize the Son of God. All talk and oppression of the people, yet no love.

The fig tree represents Israel. Israel as a whole failed to produce fruit. Mt 21:23 Jesus says, 'I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.' Jesus' only negative miracle. Jesus hates unfruitfulness. Jn 15:1-8
