🐍Why did Leader John Thune lie? We know now that after McConnell was found unconscious and hospitalized, Thune told CNN he spoke to Mitch — who “𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅” and was “𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏.” Really? Right after being admitted to cardiac ICU ? 👀 Thune’s spin was...

President Trump goes BESERK on Senator Mitch McConnell. He cut him right down to the bone and reduced his entire 40+ year career to nothing within seconds. TRUMP: “Well, McConnell’s an angry man.” “You know, he got thrown out of his position.” “He’s an angry guy.” “You know, he should be very thankful to me because if I didn’t win, he wouldn’t have gotten appoint...I appointed the judges. He didn’t.” “He gets credit for appointing judges. He didn’t appoint anybody, I did.” “You know how I did? I won the election and then I picked judges, and the judges ended up getting approved and they said, oh, didn’t he do a good job?” “He didn’t do a good job. What the HELL did he do?!” “I won the election. He’s an angry man who’s very disloyal to John Thune.” “John Thune is a good man.” “He was a loyal worker for Mitch McConnell. He worked for Mitch McConnell. He worked very hard. He was very loyal to him.” “I disagreed with him a lot because Mitch McConnell gave so much money to Democrats.” “He gave them money. I had to go get the wall money from the military. I just took it out of the military because that guy wouldn’t do anything.” “No, Mitch McConnell’s a bad guy.” “And he’s...I thought he was lousy at his job, lousy at his job.” “But the only thing they give him a lot of credit for judges.” “But I’m the one that got the judges. You know why? I won the election!” “If I didn’t win the election, he wouldn’t have had any judges.”

Scott Jennings After Speaking With Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) From the Hospital: “[McConnell] called me this morning before I did my radio show. We talked for about 17 minutes. He talked a lot about the situation with Iran, talked a little bit about Ukraine and what’s going on in Europe.” “I told him I had been to the Teddy Roosevelt library. We talked a little bit about the history of the vice presidency and how Roosevelt had transformed that and the modern presidency. A little history of the Senate.” “It was a wide ranging conversation. I talk to him often. I hadn’t talked to him since he’d been in. I’d gotten a few text messages from him, but I hadn’t spoken to him. So it was good to hear his voice. Voice sounded strong and sounded like he was keeping up with the news to me.” CNN’s Kasie Hunt: “Did you ask him how he was feeling?” Scott Jennings: “Yeah, he said… he was feeling okay. You know, obviously well enough to call me on the phone and obviously well enough to talk to Barrasso and Thune.” “Now, look, I’m not qualified to discuss any medical issues or give you any information about that, that’s really for him or his staff to do.” “I talk to him from time to time, and I see him from time to time. And, you know, we had a conversation today about the things that we normally talk about, which are news of the day political stuff.” CNN’s Kasie Hunt: “Did you come away feeling like he was still capable of serving the people of Kentucky as Senator?” Scott Jennings: “I came away feeling that he was staying on top of the new… It was a personal private call.”
