When one Muslim started fighting with a Hindu and began hitting him, the other Muslims joined in and also started attacking the Hindu. However, no other Hindus came forward to support him. The main reasons for this were: The Hindus did not see it as an attack by Muslims on a Hindu. They lacked awareness of their own identity as Hindus. They were unsure about what to do in such a situation. They viewed religion as something irrelevant or untouchable. They did not have any sense of religious pride.

I have one question for one-sided secular Hindus. When it was about a shop, you stood with Mohd. Deepak. You said, “He did the right thing.” Fine. But during the Pahalgam attack, Deepak commented on a post about how Hindus being identified. His line was: “You checked the men… what about the women?” Was that denial or mockery of victims? You want peace, good. But secularism can’t be selective. Clapping needs two hands, not one. A shop issue wakes everyone up. Hindus displaced in Murshidabad, no outrage. Kashmiri Pandits attacked, no protests. Peace is important. But secularism doesn’t work one-sided. After that interview, even Deepak had no answer. Deny the crime. Blame the Government. Ignore the victims. That’s not secularism, that’s convenience. I’ve criticised the VHP too. After weeks of castigating politicians for "exploiting" attacks on white people, Humza Yousaf was delighted to finally have an attack he could exploit. He milked it so hard I thought its udders were going to fall off. So did John Swinney, despite remaining completely silent after a similar attack on white people by a Sudanese migrant in Edinburgh. Nobody lamented the backlash against peaceful whites. There were no warnings about an uptick in whitephobia. Nobody described whites as the "community of peace". Why is it that when a Muslim attacks British people, the issue is "racist far-right Islamophobia", and when a British man attacks Muslims, the issue is also "racist far-right Islamophobia"? And why is it that if Muslims don't feel safe in Britain, that's because we're racist? If we don't feel safe in Britain, that's also because we're racist?

Putting the Record Straight, Almost the entire "wealth" of Karachi, and Sindh at large was held by the Sindhi Hindu Merchant class. A big reason for Sindhi Muslims backing partition was the Hindu economic dominance of their province. In Karachi Sindhi Hindus were a majority and left after partition. The Muslims were mostly Baloch Fishing Communities who were the real Indigenous people, and some Memon/Gujarati settlers. Sindhi Nationalists including GM Syed himself noted that the Sindhi Muslims are mostly agrarian and they need Muslim migrants from India to help Sindh's economy after Sindhi Hindus left, especially in trading and business. In the Book "Muhajireen ka Masla" from 1949 Agha Mohammad Ashraf noted that most Muhajirs from UP/Bihar/CP did not migrate because of violence & bloodshed like people from Bengal, Delhi and Punjab did. He noted that a "majority" of these were Ideological migrants and had a relatively better economic background. They had migrated for Pakistaniyat alone, instead of compulsion, and in many cases had to live in camps after leaving behind significant properties in India. If you want to talk about who should be grateful and thankful , it should be the state of Pakistan and especially Sindh for the contributing of Muhajirs. Secondly the Muhajirs in Karachi didn't migrate to Sindh they migrated to the Federal Capital so why would they learn Sindhi when for 25 years after partition it was a separate administrative Unit ? The Muhajirs that live in Interior Sindh had a reason to learn Sindhi and still speak/know it while retaining their identity.

In response to the post, local Hindus- most of whom are jewelers- went to Osman Molla’s shop to confront him. Osman quickly apologized, which seemed to settle the matter (his apology letter is attached in another post of this thread). The Hindus left peacefully. However, Radical Islamists falsely reported to the Army & police, claiming that Hindus had attacked Muslims. In response to the post, local Hindus- most of whom are jewelers- went to Osman Molla’s shop to confront him. Osman quickly apologized, which seemed to settle the matter (his apology letter is attached in another post of this thread). The Hindus left peacefully. However, Radical Islamists falsely reported to the Army & police, claiming that Hindus had attacked Muslims. Without verifying, the Army entered the Hazari Lane area & began destroying CCTV cameras outside Hindu homes/shops. Collaborating with the Radical Islamists, they launched lethal assaults on Hindu households and shops. So far, one Hindu life has been lost, with fears that this number may increase. I feel it is only the Pakistanis who talk of the Hindu-Muslim divide to cause conflicts...The government should ensure adequate security in such places or not allow people to enter such danger zones... There was nothing there, no hospital, no security, no help..."
