Probably the biggest contributor here was the Great Society programs which insulated urban black communities from market feedback mechanisms for pro-social behavior. If you no longer need employment and marriage to successfully fund children and families - there's no incentive for following the law, studying, etc.

The strongest evidence that racism was not the primary driver of the increasing disparity in performance was the success of east Asian minorities in the US. They had been subjected to many years of racist discrimination but it had little to no effect on performance once the legal discrimination was prohibited.

It's not about behavior. Blacks have extremely low intelligence and the evidence is overwhelming. 1. Black-americans come in last in all standardized tests. Asian-americans do fine on all the tests so it’s not due to cultural bias in the tests. 2. Africa is by far the poorest and most backward continent on the planet. All of black africa is now controlled by blacks and has been for ages so it’s not due to racism. 3. No black has ever won a Science Nobel Prize. They have won many nobels in non-brain fields like Peace and also in Literature so it is not due to racism. 4. Out of 1725 chess grandmasters in the world, only FIVE are black. 5. 65 years of affirmative action special treatment and blacks have fallen even further behind. 6. In 2022 the NFL stopped giving draft prospects the Wonderlic intelligence test because blacks did so poorly. 7. Back then when a young black student studied hard the other blacks called them an Oreo. Black on the outside but white on the inside. How dumb is that?

Yep my white friend taught at a 98% black school and any black student that actually tried to learn was bullied and accused of acting white.

Why do elected Democrats promote racial division and targeted policies based on race and gender? Instead of something called equality, merit, quantifiable criteria. Something is rotten in the Democrat party using favoritism in the quest for absolute power outlined in their statements on packing the Supreme Court and adding D.C. and Puerto Rico. Elected Democrats will undoubtedly buy off this potential new states with billions of new federal dollars. Maybe the education of large numbers of Black students reached its high point in the past. Why do white people always assume every problem has a solution? Some groups are good at seizing opportunities and other groups not as much. When I realized the Homestead acts did not bar black or women from staking a claim. And so few left to steak a claim I was suprised. The the Southern Homestead act 1867 was another attempt, it even barred Southern whites from the give away.
