Why did school never make it this simple?

Because this is already really simple.

As a french man that is basic 6yo knowledge for any schoolboy ...

what kind of uncivilized person uses a comma instead of a decimal point and wtf is a kilometer??? 🤨

But then, how would we develop character through shared academic trauma?

Because you shouldn’t need a table to move a decimal left or right.

They did. You just didn’t pay attention.

my problem has never been this. Just converting between imperial and metric units. So annoying :)

Helpful notation, for sure. I'm working on my metrics. Truly. But using a comma in place of a period to denote decimal places...that's just never going to feel normal. Leibniz why yo do dis. >_<

Because schools focus on structured learning, but our brains love storytelling and surprises! We remember facts better when they spark emotion. 🎓

Because they want us slave to the system
