One thing for sure,. I'd rather have a pilot that isn't afraid to go around rather than feeling mandated to put that aircraft down because of optics. Good landing on the 2nd attempt

I’m not a pilot, but it looks like he experienced some unexpected crosswinds, then spent too much time trying to compensate for it and ran out of runway. Just guessing.

Landing speed too high, trying to control crosswind, so crosswind ended up creating too much lift during crabbing..pilot did this deliberately to get a feel for the landing prior to actual landing at correct speed.

he flared while maintaining thrust. Wind gusts may have worried pilot on approach. The go around was order when the runway limits were pushed.

Well, if they hadn’t experienced the significant float, they could have applied rudder and landed, therefore the float was required 😎

Probably carrying too much speed to reduce the crosswind component.

Wind all day was reported around 250/12, but in reality it was all over the place variable 190v290. Caught a few out
