Why did those Pro Palestine protesters have an issue with the March for Australia protestors? I mean I believe the weekend after weekend for months Pro Palestine marches were left to go on mostly uninterrupted by anyone not a part of it so what was the issue for them... to be so combative towards the March for Australia attendees yesterday? I mean nobody in that March was marching against the Palestinians or against their cause. It’s even likely that some marching yesterday had been on the bridge marching for Palestine earlier last month 🤷‍♀️ The Aussies were there (with the exception of the neo Nazis who ruined it for everyone) for the same reason - pause the immigration intake or slash the numbers so our fellow Australians who are homeless can be housed, our struggling healthcare system heal along with our other day to day much needed resources. I can only think of one reason & one reason only - they hate Australia. So a solution is that they get on a flight & go & help those in Palestine…show more

Australia Day did not disappear; it was taken from us. For many of us, Australia Day is about celebration. Yet there are those who believe there should be no date, no nation, and no Australia. For a long time, these people have been winning. The location of the first Melbourne March for Australia on August 31 was home to so-called “Invasion Day” protests just months prior. At those protests, they gloated about having “abolished” our celebrations — a scene repeated across the country. These anti-Australian radicals thought it was over. They were satisfied that all that remained of our national day was guilt and mockery. Emboldened, they became more extreme, began burning our flag, and pushed to open our borders even further. All the while, they reminded us we are on “stolen land” whenever we dared to question the destruction of our identity. What they did not see coming was the March for Australia — the reawakening of the Australian spirit. This year’s January 26 will not be about guilt and submission; it will be about pride. We will not allow our sovereignty to be challenged by “always was, always will be.” We will not be shamed for having built this great nation. This Australia Day, we will reassert our sovereignty. We will decide the destiny of our nation. This Australia Day will host the biggest public celebrations in years. We will March for Australia, we will take our cities back. No guilt. This day belongs to Australians.

I am actually disgusted by this. I’ve had so many teachers that changed my life and put me in the right path, without them I don’t want to think about where I would be. These teachers are sharing how much money they have in their accounts on the par day. In a society where our teachers are guiding the minds of the future, the people who will be helping us when we are later in life. I don’t think they are appreciated enough nor is the compensation package up to par. It perplexes me how they they have to spend a crazy amount of money for their education, only to struggle to get by with a smile while still being generous enough to pay for the items our children need without being reimbursed for much of it. I think it’s time we create a change, I don’t think it’s fair we expect so much of them and they give so much to us only to relieve so little. I know people are going to argue with me and say well they chose to do it so if they aren’t happy with the pay, they can get another job. While that’s true, we would be in bad shape however if they ever chose to do that. Who would be teaching our kids and preparing them for the future. I think we focus too much on things that aren’t and shouldn’t be our priority while neglecting and overlooking a major issue right below our noses. Their jobs are important and our kids would fail without them so why are we treating them like they aren’t important? It’s because it’s easy for us to think of them as our babysitters for half the day. We treat them like Nannie’s who only watch our kids while we go to work and do things we enjoy. Maybe it’s time we revisit our roles in helping them achieve our goals.
