Why did those Pro Palestine protesters have an issue with the March for Australia protestors? I mean I believe the weekend after weekend for months Pro Palestine marches were left to go on mostly uninterrupted by anyone not a part of it so what was the issue for them...

What they did not see coming was the March for Australia — the reawakening of the Australian spirit. This year’s January 26 will not be about guilt and submission; it will be about pride. We will not allow our sovereignty to be challenged by “always was, always will be.” We will not be shamed for having built this great nation. This Australia Day, we will reassert our sovereignty. I am actually disgusted by this. I’ve had so many teachers that changed my life and put me in the right path, without them I don’t want to think about where I would be. These teachers are sharing how much money they have in their accounts on the par day. In a society where our teachers are guiding the minds of the future, the people who will be helping us when we are later in life. I don’t think they are appreciated enough nor is the compensation package up to par. It perplexes me how they they have to spend a crazy amount of money for their education, only to struggle to get by with a smile while still being generous enough to pay for the items our children need without being reimbursed for much of it. I think it’s time we create a change, I don’t think it’s fair we expect so much of them and they give so much to us only to relieve so little. I know people are going to argue with me and say well they chose to do it so if they aren’t happy with the pay, they can get another job. While that’s true, we would be in bad shape however if they ever chose to do that. Who would be teaching our kids and preparing them for the future. I think we focus too much on things that aren’t and shouldn’t be our priority while neglecting and overlooking a major issue right below our noses. Their jobs are important and our kids would fail without them so why are we treating them like they aren’t important? It’s because it’s easy for us to think of them as our babysitters for half the day. We treat them like Nannie’s who only watch our kids while we go to work and do things we enjoy. Maybe it’s time we revisit our roles in helping them achieve our goals.

I am disappointed that the Federal Court has rejected my appeal relating to the claim against me by the Greens’ Senator Faruqi. My legal team and I will now closely review the decision in the coming days, with a view to commencing an appeal in the High Court of Australia. Public discussion in Australia has become almost totally silenced by laws and rules which prevent ordinary people expressing their personal views in case some small part of our society takes some sort of offence or feels hurt or “distressed”. This has never been, nor ever should be, the Australian way. We all need to have the courage – and the freedom – to say what we think on issues that are important to us all. Some of those views may not be what certain people would like to hear, but that doesn’t mean that they are not valid views, and it certainly doesn’t mean that people should be prevented from having a voice on topics which are critical to our country’s future. I was incensed by the incredible disrespect that I felt was shown to our late Queen on the day of her death by Senator Fahruqi and others. I simply wanted to call that out. For me, respect for our institutions of Government; for our collective moral compass; and for the principles – including respect for our Head of State – which together have shaped this wonderful nation, are vital attributes which all Australians should embrace. If people in Australia are scared or forbidden to freely express themselves, then those values are eroded. I am here to fight for all Australians to ensure that such a dark day never comes. I sincerely thank all those who continue to support me in this legal process.
