I was at the viral Quality Learing Center Nick Shirley exposed, talking to a Somali guy who told us to check out his phone company. A lady across the street started screaming insults then the entire interaction shifted. They then denied having a phone company. "We're not getting along anymore." The problem is that people like Ilhan Omar add legitimacy to the stereotype that Somalis are known for fraud, that affects the whole community. These Somali guys said it's all hype, yet are defending a daycare that has been raided multiple times.... If 99% of Somalis don't commit fraud why do 99% of Somalis seem to defend it?

Rigathi Gachagua: When I went to the US, I had town hall meetings for all Kenyans and they were packed and we discussed issues to do with Kenya. When I went to Seattle, I was invited to the Ngemi Festival, which is a musical concert for the Kikuyu nation. I would not have invited other people to come and join in the Ngemi Festival because those were Kikuyu songs and people celebrating their culture.
