Why Do Bricklayers Pull This Plastic Out? 🧐❌

They're not meant to pull the plastic out! They're weep vents. The plastic it meant to stop vermin & insects from getting into the cavity easily.

This is such fucking bullshit. The plastic thing IS the weep vent, it even has a drip edge you kretin.

If they pull them out they honestly should be sacked! These videos are so bad!!

Stick to the timber framework….you haven’t a fkin clue about bricklaying.

They used to cut up small pieces of rope and put them in the mortar joints and they were called weep ropes. My dad, grandfather and 2 uncles were Brickies.

You should leave the weep in that’s what it’s for !!

It's not hack. Not only are the weep holes standard practice, but they are strictly required by building codes for all brick veneer and cavity wall construction.
