Catholics don’t believe purgatory is about ‘paying for sins’ as if Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t enough. The guilt of sin is already forgiven through Jesus. Purgatory is about being purified from the lingering effects of sin — the selfishness, attachments, and wounds that remain. It’s God’s mercy preparing us to see Him face to face, fully healed and made holy. ✝️ Watch the full episode here:

Jesus Christ who was arrested, mocked, spit on, beaten. nailed to the Cross, crucified, and buried in the tomb has risen in His glorified Body. The stone was not rolled away so He could leave… but so we could see, so we could believe! He did not leave us. The risen Lord remains with us in the Most Holy Eucharist. “Christian nationalism is a betrayal of Jesus of Nazareth—His life, His death, and His…teachings.” This man is about to clobber Crockett is the Democrat primary for the Texas senate, and when you hear him speak (and then have the misfortune of hearing her speak), it’s not hard to see why; he’s clean-cut, well-spoken, has an amiable face and disposition, and has a very touching story about his young mother fleeing his abusive biological father. That said, I find it interesting that this “progressive Christian” calls Jesus “Jesus of Nazareth” and not Jesus Christ. I also find it interesting that he refers to Jesus’ life, death, and teachings as opposed to His life, death, and resurrection.
