Why do cats do this 😭
27 Comments

They are little scientists and enjoy experimenting with gravity.

How do we know the Earth is a sphere? Because if it was flat, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

Kitties are the only fur people on the planet who appreciate physics. Smart kitties.

They’re endlessly fascinated by the Law of Physics. I had a Maine Coon cat that was so bad about this, I couldn’t put a single thing on a table. That big boy would knocks lamps off tables. He was a piece of work!

I found the cheat code. Let them get fat and they jump on the counter less...this is Motto lol.

Because cats are evil.

Proving every day that we do not live on a flat Earth. Otherwise they would have shove everything off the Earth.

Because cats are as*holes! They'll even look at you while they do it! Like Yeah, what you gonna do about it?😂

They can be taught not to do it. One of the best training tools I learned is when they commit something undesirable, for the next 3-5 seconds, act like you’re about to kill them. This works on cats, dogs, horses, children, and husbands.

What's even more amusing is the fact they could just smack it off the side if they wanted to, but they clearly like to push it as close to the edge as possible. They want to watch it slowly tip over and then look at the damage. Experimental little psychopaths.

Cats are scientists who are trying to nail down the tipping point.

Because it doesn't have a mouse or bird to play with. It's bored of indoor prison life.

In Swiss German we have literally a verb for this which means as much as .. catting down something. abebüse.

They are trying to figure out, why one side has nothing under the bowl, yet the other side does and it stays level. The mystery of Cat Physics; it goes back thousands of years, and still no answers. Cats & Physicist — their role in quantum thought experiments.

物理の法則を学んでいるんでしょう。

Cats are scientist at heart. They are performing Gravity experiments all over the world to check to see if there are lapses in coverage.

My cats would like to walk around all the glassware that I had on shelves and tables, they never touched it just walked around; it was an elogant weaving in and out. Never understood this, but they do it. 🤣🤣

They are born with chaos in their hearts 💓

Cats control the laws of physics - and this is just a simple demonstration.

Because they can....

All they need is a box.

The best part is that the cat knows that what it is doing is wrong 😄

The same reason they toy with a mouse before they kill it. Because they can.

Parrots love to throw stuff off the countertops, too. It’s a big game, especially if it bounces. My African Grey loved to throw oversized marbles onto the tile floor, then bob his head up and down in synchronization with the bouncing marble. When it quit bouncing, he would hop up and down with delight, like he’d just bowled a strike. 😂 He also mimicked the sound of the marbles hitting the tile perfectly. It was his favorite game. But I got tired of picking up the marbles.

All cats, no matter the species are born into what is called a gravitational force vector field… it’s an instinctive action like trying to bury their food… all cats must test the limits of that field… scientific tests showed they even do it in outer space… Go figure ..

None of my cats have ever done this. But my daughter’s very unusual cat does this all the time. With everything, he dropped my keys in the trash and I spent a day looking for them. He also eats with his paw and takes showers and will not poop in the litter box. My daughter says he is special needs. I say he is a genius.

This is physics cat, they are testing the absolute limits before it tips because he thinks he might learn something more. or he is an attention seeker and wants your attention by any means.
