Because the physical labor is easy. Its knowing how and what to do that's the challenge.

You absolutely can. Give yourself a few YouTube videos and an obnoxious tool budget and you’ll be fine.

Because you can! You just need to be able to mess up a 4000 dollar transmission and not have that be the end of everything. Learning is hard but the physical work isnt.

With patience and practice, anyone can learn anything. 😎

Anyone can learn. You must have the wish, will, determination, time, and sometimes funding, but many times that last one can be overcome in various ways.

Hi, trained mechanic here. You probably can! The hardest part about doing transmission rebuilding is getting those bronze teeth to line up, but it just takes patience. They also make books for a lot of popular transmissions! ATSG sells them.

My toxic trait is that I watch these videos and tell myself I can do that , attempt to do it, rewatch and realize I can’t do it but watch again and tell myself myself mehhh I can definitely do it

Whenever I watch someone who’s a master of their craft it looks so easy, I think I can do that. Master level technicians make everything look so smooth and effortless. I can’t see the 10,000 hours they’ve invested in acquiring that skill.
