Fact!!! People want God to be a genie, rather than the father who gives according to his will, his good plans, and what is good for your soul. You don’t pray for a car you pray for opportunities to serve, to love, and if transportation is needed, he will provide.

Reminds me of the idea that people treat prayer like a voicemail & then get confused when they don't have a relationship with God/don't really know Him. When we do this, we are working to manipulate the outcome, not engage in a relationship. Imagine if a marriage worked like that
