Why do people vote for her?

I used to live in Massachusetts a long time ago, and its always been a left leaning state compared to other states and with a palpable dash of mafia influence and general corruption. There was an occasional Republican elected to state offices, but that was rare, and they were always "moderate" republicans. The answer to your question is that Elizabeth Warren is an incumbent in a very Blue State. Change will take time as those exercising power are very reluctant to let go of their power. She is likely to be reelected each year from a combination of pro left voters plus Trump haters. Last election cycle was 61% D to 39% R. That's a pretty big advantage to D. I personally do not support socialists or communists in economic theory discussions. I am not sure on that spectrum where EW actually resides, but I am sure it is far left of center and far away from Capitalistic principles (which, by the way, is the only way to produce wealth for a country and which can support socialism programs or communist redistributions; the basics are that you feed and do not kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.) I view with curiosity what is the source of EW's wealth as she is such an outspoken critic of wealthy or successful people. Her wealth is reported to be in the vicinity of $12M. Although this may well be disinformation, it might be far more or far less. I do support in general the required full financial disclosure under oath and subject to the penalties for perjury of all federal elected persons including past presidents. If corruption or violation of financial laws have occurred, then there should be some consequences, including the claw-back of any ill gotten gains, or perhaps the divestiture of any pension related funds. These recoveries would go into the US Treasury as income from penalties and forfeitures.

People vote for her because they're misled by empty promises and charisma, not substance or policy. She lacks real business experience and common sense, it's astonishing she's in power. We need leaders like Pierre Poilievre who tell it like it is and have a track record of success.

The reality is that "people" probably do not vote for her or the likes of her. If they can rig the Presidential election- why would they keep the state representative elections clean?
