Figured out that they fought for bankers and politicians?

If you're active duty, you'll be shunned. If you're a veteran, the care is absolute dog water.

Outside of physical or mental injury. When you leave the forces you leave not just your job, your friendship group, your home, your whole life and are required to rebuild alone from scratch. If you don’t have meaningful support that assists in that transition effectively, to help you rebuild a new life in civvy street, family, friends outside the wire etc depression will set in. A higher percentage of forces is male and men are more likely to be successful in suicide attempts. It’s actually quite obvious but support services are poorly funded / managed and are built like an impersonal production line without taking into account the variable - which is human. 🤷‍♀️

This is something that a lot of people (especially those in the government) has turned a blind eye on.

The opposite of addiction is connection

Because instead of taking care of our warriors we take care of those that illegally cross into this country. Every single time someone says we need universal healthcare in this country, I always point out how “great” of a job the government has done with the VA.

I can talk from experience, if anyone REALLY WANTS TO KNOW. The VA hires KIDS... they aren't "Psychiatrists or Psychologists" They have a 2-4 year degree in Counseling. Most have a "counseling" certificate or degree. It is hard for a real Combat Veteran to try and tell a 24 year old kid, who is sitting there with a Starbucks cup, slurping it down noisely, while you are trying to explain to them that you wake up 2, 3 times a night sweating, seeing those eyes when the light leaves, the twinkle disappears.... YES, if you didn't know... When someone dies, you can literally watch the light fade. I had a young counselor girl.... I started describing what I have seen and had to do to keep me and my soldiers alive.... She literally got up, excused herself and left the room for a few minutes. I am assuming she went to go puke. These people aren't helping Veterans who are having trouble coping with life today. Honestly, I am amazed that Veterans haven't taken to the streets and started vigilante justice, watching illegal migrants stealing OUR resources and now getting help through the VA. Are you all fking kidding me?? I EARNED MY VA COMPENSATION. I earned mine through bullet wounds and a TBI from an IED. NOW, these illegals are STEALING MY BENEFITS..... FUK JOE BIDEN AND THE COMMUNIST DEMOCRATS.
