Why do young people reject conservatism?

Does anyone actually believe that today’s politicians got into politics to “make a difference”? The good ones are few and far between.

Conservatism sounds too restrictive. Being young doesn't usually align with that kind of perspective. Being older, wiser and more rational does. The saying is, if you aren't liberal when you're young, you have no heart. If not conservative when you're old, you have no brain.

Young people rarely know what that means.

True. But also let’s be honest, conservatism requires discipline and less and less people want to be people of discipline these days.

The youth in America overwhelmingly went for Trump. They understand. The Democrats and illegal invasions are lunacy.

I cringe so hard when I see "conservatives" clap like seals when any IDW/adjacent podcaster tells them to their faces he's not one of them then tells them how to run their movement. Have we learned nothing from what happened with James Lindsay?
