Because we've allowed society to devolve into this.

Unpopular opinion, but maybe using two hands instead of filming would help?

Accurate representation of when I switch to 2 hands

Maybe if you calmed down a bit and just opened it normally?

NEED ME SOME MILK

The urge to get some milk was too intense!

It’s an added safety feature that normal people have no trouble removing.

You’re saying the child locking milk now??

Weak ass can't even take that seal off one handed? maybe put the phone down.

“wEAk AsS cAnt eVeN TaKE ThAt sEaL oFf oNe hAnDeD”

yes i said that. others agree.

Would be so much easier if you put down your phone and used the other hand to hold the carton still.

If it doesn't pull off easy, just stab it with a knife and peel it off. It's not that hard.

for product freshness and safety

I’d rather have the seals as I know the milk had not been contaminated

Sigh….There are 4 small tabs around the edge of the seal. Lift one until the vacuum seal released. Grab the large clear plastic tab and pull….

Fake - Ive never had this problem peeling of the security seal from milk. Oh and it there so foreigners, blacks and leftists don't contaminate it making tic toks

Remember a few years ago when those people were opening ice cream cartons, licking them, then putting the cover back on and returning them to the freezer? That's why. Probably also freshness, but the main answer is people are fucking terrible.

I'd have to guess that there is less product loss from loose/misaligned/damaged caps with the seal on there. I'm sure a bunch of smart people crunched the numbers and it made sense.

Using both hands makes a huge difference... The plastic pull-tab seal is vacuum-sealed tightly for safety and freshness (to block tampering, bacteria, and leaks), so trying to yank it one-handed often just rips the tab off or leaves you wrestling it forever.

Plot twist- you're actually right handed.

All because someone poisoned Tylenol in 1982...

Why does Costco's milk bottles look like bleach bottles or something?

The real reason they did this

I personally like that my milk has like a 3 month expiration date.

6 month if you’re brave enough

> why? Because bad people will do bad things otherwise like pour noxious stuff into the bottle, or take a swig from the bottle etc. It is striking when you look around and see all the costs and inconveniences that we endure because of the 4% of the population who are scrumbags.

That's a good seal for protection. 👌🏽 Keep it Costco. We love you. ❤️

Put your phone down and hold the jug maybe

Ever watch the videos of people drinking out of jugs and putting them back on the shelf? Or the ones spitting in them? That's why this is done. We are no longer a high trust society.

You don’t own a knife?

Broke it the last time I bought milk

Maybe put the phone down and use two hands🤷🏾♂️ everything doesn’t need to be content

Can you imagine if it wasn't hard to get off the jug? People spitting in it? Gross.

It's not Costco's problem, it's the laws the milk producer is required to follow.

@messedupfoods Oh no they are closing it safely so nobody can tamper with it 😮 how cruel

Costco does that to protect you from contaminated food, specifically by horrible a$$holes who deliberately adulterate food. The Costco milk seal is a good design. Put the phone down and deal with it.

Then you might waste a lot of time recording and posting. Most people would prefer a proper seal to ensure the safety of the product they buy. Most humans have 2 hands to get things done, if they are not holding a phone in one of them.

so people can't spit in it without you being aware it was opened. Apparently that is an issue. You like spit?

I can explain... That is the 'anti-Sam's Club' barrier. Even if you pay for a membership to get away from the Sam's club degenerates this gatekeeps them back to where they belong. Be proud you have mastered it. It is a sign of our superiority.

Someone hasn’t seen recent videos of a certain minority tampering with everything from detergent to soda. Deal with it.

@messedupfoods Blame the asshole behind the Tylenol murders

Doesn't all milk come with a seal on?
