@timkellernyc The book of Job explains it well. Satan is challenging God that he didn't have enough to be happy. So if he takes away stuff from us, he expects us to not like God anymore. Be prepared to praise God even if you hurt to a severe degree with no hope for recovery in this life.

@timkellernyc God doesn't allowed suffering. It's burden to caused us an unease or discomfort that we may acknowledged and subjected ourselves to understand how much he still loves and care for us. Much as he feel unease with our sins, the same burden we feel when we transgressed of his law.
