Why does Hamas need tunnels?

It's amazing how far people will go to deny the obvious, and this is a great example. Hamas writes it into their charter, they chant it endlessly, the culture of Gaza is immersed in it, it comes straight out of the Koran, Oct. 7th happens and there is cheering in the streets of Gaza, Jew hatred fills the TV shows coming out of "Palestine," etc. It's like, what is it going to take to get into the heads of western leftists?

Hamas needs tunnels so they can literally hide under civilians, schools and hospitals.

End the open air prison allow them to have better living conditions and the love you give is the love you get back, occupy instead you’ll just have to deal with a dog cornered

Did Hamas put tens of thousands of civilians in the tunnels. No. Zero. Tunnels were used to hide their weapons and move their terrorists around and to leave the population intentionally exposed when israel responded. Hamas is pure evil. Extreme ignorance to think otherwise.
