Great Freaking Question in my personal opinion.

I did the math on it if they really did nuke those 3 targets in the US with, let's say 300 to 400 kiloton nukes. The blast alone would wipe out most of the US Then you have to deal with fallout, which would be extreme absolutely nothing would survive.
