Beyond d market success, have u wonder ppl who claim they are hungry fill shows n party with various designer outfit. Major hotels/motel are fully booked, esp at weekends. New Estates are fully sold out.Even BF/GF/sidechick/hookup biz is on d high.Nigerians are not being truthful

There is a stock market bubble. People are buying stocks to protect their savings from inflation. As for company profits rising, check their account receivables. Is it rising, implying it may be paper profits and it may come crashing down if there is an external shock

I think the reason it is taking a longer time for the man on the street to feel the effect of the reforms is the large inequality that exists between the rich and the poor. Nigeria is currently one of the countries with the most inequality.

I think interest rate adjustment and the adoption of technology like AI causes the disconnect. While AI can boost capital market performance, it'll cause job losses and economic hardship 🙂
