Islam is simple . It teaches that God has sent messengers since the beginning of time. Paradise is not guaranteed to anyone, because each soul is accountable for itself. God In Islam,Whatever you can touch is not God, whatever you can smell is not God, whatever your mind can imagine that is not God either.God beyond that If your eyes cannot even bear to look at the sun, how can you expect to behold the One who created the sun?

It’s simple: God’s messengers brought message. Those who have followed without lying & altering it don’t need to fear. God did NOT change his message but Jews & Christians changed their books. Wonder why so many versions.

🕋 ONLY A KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PRACTICING MUSLIM CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION “Indeed, those who believed, and those who were Jews, Christians, and Sabians, whoever truly believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteous deeds, will have their reward with their Lord. There will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.” The key point, according to the classical Sunni/Salafi understanding, is that this verse does not mean that after the coming of Muhammad ﷺ a person may reject him and still attain salvation simply by identifying as Jewish or Christian. Rather, it refers to those among the previous nations who truly followed the prophet sent to them before Muhammad ﷺ. A Jew who genuinely followed Musa (Moses) ﷺ in his time was upon faith. A Christian who genuinely followed ʿIsa ﷺ (Jesus son of Mary)before Muhammad ﷺ was upon faith. When Muhammad ﷺ was sent, believing in Allah necessarily included believing in His final Messenger. However, this verse was abrogated by the following verse: “Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.” — Qur’an 3:85 And the Prophet ﷺ said: “By Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no one from this nation, Jew or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in that with which I was sent, except that he will be among the people of the Fire.” — Sahih Muslim So Qur’an 2:62 is not religious pluralism in the sense that all religions remain equally valid after Muhammad ﷺ. It teaches that sincere followers of Allah’s earlier prophets were rewarded for following the revelation available to them in their time. This is essentially how Ibn Kathir and Shaykh al-Saʿdi explain the verse: every nation was required to follow its messenger; after Muhammad ﷺ was sent, following him became obligatory for mankind.

Allah us basically saying, that Christians and Jews who believed in him and were righteous *BEFORE* the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent, will all be rewarded. The key point here is that this only applies to the people who came before the prophet. This doesn't apply today

It clarifies that this doesn't mean all paths are equal after the final message of Islam was revealed. It highlights God's absolute justice in rewarding those of past nations who maintained pure faith and performed good deeds. 🔹The Groups Mentioned: Believers (Muslims), Jews, Christians, and Sabians. 🔹The Core Conditions: True belief in God (Allah), belief in the Last Day (Day of Judgment), and doing righteous/good deeds. 🔹The Promise: Their reward is secure with God, and they will experience no fear or grief. Muslims, classical scholars and commentators explain that this verse applies to sincere followers of previous divine revelations who lived before the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ Or those who truly and faithfully followed their respective prophets' genuine teachings until the final message arrived.

The concept that the religion before Allah is Islam and that all messengers called to it can be summarized by distinguishing between the core of the religion (creed) and the practical rulings (law), as follows: 1. Unity of Creed (Islam in its General Sense) - Essence of Submission: Islam, in its broad sense, is submission to Allah through monotheism, obedience, and the disavowal of polytheism. - The Single Message of the Prophets: All prophets (from Noah and Abraham, to Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them) brought one fundamental message: singling out Allah alone for worship. - All Were Muslims: In this sense, all prophets and their monotheistic followers were 'Muslims' because they submitted themselves to Allah. 2. Diversity of Laws (Flexibility to Suit Different Eras) - Difference in Practical Rulings: While the creed remained constant, the Sharia (details of worship, such as prayer, fasting, and what is lawful and unlawful) differed from one prophet to another. - The Wisdom Behind the Differences: Allah's wisdom dictated prescribing for each nation rulings that suited its nature, era, and stage of development. - Obeying Allah in a Specific Time: A worshiper in any era actualized their submission to Allah by adhering to the laws revealed to the prophet of their time. Conclusion: The foundation of the religion is one, which is 'Islam' (monotheism), the religion of all prophets. As for the laws, they varied to suit nations throughout history, until the final message came with Prophet Muhammad, bringing a comprehensive law valid for every time and place.

That verse can stand on its own without needing for clarification from other verses. Each nation that accepted the message of Allah in that given time are granted the mercy of Allah. Each of the messages came tailored to the needs of these nations but all from same source.

No, it doesn't say that. You have changed a word's tense. Don't falsify the Quran as you did with the other books. Indeed, those who BELIEVED and those who WERE Jews or Christians or Sabeans—those among them who BELIEVED in Allah and the Last Day and DID righteousness—will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. This verse refers to sincere followers of previous prophets and divine scriptures who lived before Prophet Muhammad, or those who truly followed their covenant with God prior to the final message. Islam cancelled all other religions. The Jews who lived before Jesus (pbuh), believed in God and followed His orders were righteous. When Jesus came, those who followed him (pbuh) were righteous and those who did not were disbelievers. When Muhammad (pbuh) came, those who followed him were and are righteous, and those who disbelieved are in the wrong. Basically, the Jews and Christians who lived in that era, followed the last prophet and believed in the one God were Muslims.

Not sure why Kafirs struggle with understanding that verse. Previous nations had their own scriptures, believed in the prophets sent to them and believed in Allah's revelation. They have nothing to fear, they were Muslims. After the Quran was revealed it's the only Authority

@MalleusIg The answer is actually quite simple The “religion” of Muslims, meaning the various mainstream orthodox sects, are not based primarily on the Qur’an, not really They claim to be, of c, just like the sects in Christianity. But it is later writings & clerics that truly define it

Wow, such a thoughtful and truthful lady, indeed. I appreciate that truly, as it is rare to find that online. As a Muslim (not scholar), what i understand from Quran, that there are two stages or two aspects, the first is internal belief and second is the practice. - For the belief aspect, please revert to chapter 2 verses 135 to 137. - and verse 177 in the same chapter 2, is for both aspects, starting with the belief and continuing with the practice.

The Qur’an says God does not punish a people until a messenger has been sent to them (17:15). Some people may never hear the true message of Islam, or only hear a distorted version of it. Allah knows what reached every person and what was in their heart, and He will judge them accordingly. Remember, He is the Most Merciful.

My sister you can continue to read the Quran and I encourage you to do so. But just remember the god of Islam in Surah Yunus 10:94 told Muhammad ask the people of the book (Jews and Christians) if he had any doubts about what was revealed to him. So if you refer to the Bible you will see that it contradicts the Quran. So since the Bible is the authoritative source, Islam must be false.

Such a thoughtful perspective. This is the actually how we’re taught to look at the full divine message rather than taking scriptures out of context. She really inspired me with her statement that while one verse is true, it doesn’t mean it’s telling the whole truth.

Means believers in 1 God will all eventually end up in heaven. After paying for their sins. Lets say if you stole in this life, and you're a believer. Maybe after burning 10 yrs in hell, you'll be let in heaven. No chance for non believers. Must be 1 of 3 :)

Too early to draw a conclusion. Keep reading Quran and reading the Quran explanation books (Tafseer) and consulting those who are fully knowledgeable in Quran and English so they can explain to you directly. Asking publicly would lead to misunderstanding and more confusion.

The Investigation of the Word “Christians” (Nasara) The word Nasara is the plural of Nasrani, just as nadama is the plural of nadman. In the early period, this was the name by which the followers of Jesus were known, and the earliest Christians themselves accepted this designation. Later, however, some groups came to regard the term Nasara as derogatory. According to the commentary, the Christians later divided into two broad groups. One group followed Simon Peter and identified itself as Nasara. This group, according to the commentary, accepted Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) after his mission began. The Qur’an praises such people in several places, including: “You will surely find the closest of them in affection to the believers are those who say, ‘We are Christians.’” (Al-Ma’idah 5:82) The other group followed Paul and came to regard Nasara as an insulting term. They associated it with Nazareth, which they considered an insignificant village. The Gospel itself records Nathanael asking: “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” The commentary argues that this objection against the Qur’an is unfounded. Even if Jesus was associated with Nazareth, there is no reason why being associated with a particular town should itself be an insult. The Qur’an’s use of the word Nasara does not necessarily mean that it is claiming that the word linguistically derives from nasr (“help”). Rather, in the verse: “Who are my helpers for Allah?” The disciples said, “We are the helpers of Allah.” (Al-Saff 61:14) there is a subtle rhetorical allusion: those known as Nasara should be supporters of the truth, because the meaning of “help” is fitting to their designation. Such subtle allusions are common in the speech of the prophets. Is It Necessary for the People of the Book to Believe in the Messenger of Allah? The central question concerning this verse is whether Jews and Christians who sincerely follow the teachings of their own scriptures can attain salvation without believing in Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Some modern theologians and those who reject the authority of Sunnah have understood this verse to mean that People of the Book who sincerely follow their own scriptures and perform righteous deeds do not need to believe in the Messenger of Allah. They argue that this verse explicitly mentions Muslims, Jews, Christians, and Sabians and says that whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and performs righteous deeds will have a reward with Allah. If this interpretation were correct, it would mean that the People of the Book would not need to believe in the Messenger of Allah, nor would they need to believe in the other essential components of faith mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah. However, this interpretation can only be accepted if the context shows that the verse was intended to provide a complete list of all the beliefs required for salvation. The context does not support that interpretation. Rather, the question being addressed is whether a person receives honor and salvation merely because of belonging to a particular family, nation, religious group, or community—or whether these are based upon faith and righteous deeds. The Qur’an answers that salvation is not the exclusive possession of any particular group. It is based upon faith and righteous action. The immediate context is particularly important. This verse occurs in Surah Al-Baqarah, whose central theme is the call to believe in the Messenger of Allah and the Qur’an. The Children of Israel are repeatedly addressed and invited to accept the revelation brought by the Prophet Muhammad. Earlier in the same passage, Allah says: “O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I bestowed upon you, fulfill My covenant, and fulfill your covenant with Me… And believe in what I have sent down, confirming what is with you, and do not be the first to reject it.” (Al-Baqarah 2:40–41)
