By design, it's called Normalcy Bias. It's to make you comfortable with it, the first time you're pissed, the second time you're angry, the third time you're upset, the fourth time you accept it. This is how propaganda changes society.

I don't think media producers understand how many people immediately stop watching a show when this happens. Sometimes a show flies under the radar for the first season with no LGBT agenda, but if it does well they always bring in the DEI team to ruin it.
