Why don't I react to left leaning commentators more often?

As someone on the center left, I’ve seen some crazy revisionist history on our side recently too. Videos going around that we were the aggressors against Japan in WW2 and the such.

This just isn’t it , you don’t have to listen to me because I’m young or whatever, but if you insist on only punching right and refuse to go after the left ( who hate white Christians like me and you ) then you are standing with , and benefiting the Christian hating left more.

Only problem with this is ... well, several. There was no moving to the right; that's all perception due to how far *left* the left has gone. By only punching right, you tacitly imply acceptance and/or agreement with the left. Whether you intend to imply that or not. Also, pointing out flaws in videos that you react to shouldn't be a political thing at all. If a left-leaning person makes a video that gets stuff wrong, why not point that out? You don't have to get political about it; just point out errors. I'm sure Matt Walsh, not being a professional historian, gets some stuff wrong. Point that out. Even point it out to *him*. If you can back it up and prove he made a significant mistake, I'm confident he'd own up to it and issue a correction. Now ... if the real reason you don't punch left is because you're afraid or nervous about the out of proportion reaction you'll get, I can understand that. Not everyone's equipped to handle that. If that's the case, though ... don't punch right either. Just leave it apolitical and just truth and accuracy-focused. Don't only punch on the target that won't go ballistic.

I understand that you think an incorrect historical viewpoint does damage to the side you're affiliated with, but it's exceptionally important that you also criticize the false historical takes of the left too, because those takes damage our very field of history.

I understand where you’re coming from, and it’s fine if you want to criticize the Right and say, “we should be better than this,” or whatever (I do it myself), but the Left can’t just be abstained from all criticism. You can’t see something on the Right and be like, “c’mon, we need to be better,” and then not say anything about people celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death, promoting Socialism, advocating for transgenderism, and justifying the blatant murder of Austin Metcalf. You can’t criticize certain things on the Right, say nothing about the abhorrent things on the Left (and the constant defilement of history on the Left), and then claim to be a center-right Christian Conservative. It has to go both ways. Either give us your full opinion on everything, or don’t.

As a pretty hard leftist and a long time fan of you, I wouldn’t mind seeing you react to more left leaning content. I know you’d be acting in good faith so I don’t see a problem. Do what you’re comfortable with though!

While your intent is good, we are in a war against Communists that hate you for being White AND Christian. You are not living in a moment when you get your house in order… Your house is being invaded by the hord, so, defend it first, win the war, and then get it in order.

I feel like this comment section is a perfect example of why you posted this video in the first place. It’s very clear that the right has been hijacked when people say that “the left hates whites and Christians”

I would also point out that there is not a organized and political charged organization on the left pushing out news like this. Who would you even react to? I’m “on the left” and we don’t have a Daily Wire equivalent pushing out this stuff.

Boy do I have some strong opinions about this video and I love you. To sum up my reaction succinctly, you come off as an idealist. Idealism is not what wins elections anymore. Christianity & conservatism are mutually exclusive also. I deeply would like a more balanced approach

As a person on the left, I think it would be interesting/entertaining to see you react to commentators on the left (Destiny, Hasan, etc.)

I have strong admiration for your content and love your videos but I cannot agree with this take. Your telling your conservative audience, "I'm trying harder to discredit you" . You only benefitting a left cause by doing that and many other historians are already openly taking that route.

Respectfully, stick to history videos. I think you genuinely have some good content in that regard, but you're either severely misinformed about or are frustratingly out of touch with the current political moment.

I’m right leaning, but the US government is so far right it’s ridiculous. I would argue that the US doesn’t have a left party. The Democratic Party are centre or slightly right, while the Republicans are right wing. MAGA is far right without question.

As I said on your YT channel. I generally agree and support that, but unless there are VTHs on the left who are willing to do the same given their side has been hijacked, it feels like a pointless endeavor. Kinda hard to go to the gulag thinking you did your best for your side
