Why don’t make games like this anymore?

We thought the same… so we made this 🐶

Reminds me of over the hedge ps2 game that shit awesome fighting rats stealing food using all types of weapons

Literally played a game like this with my girlfriend, it's called It Takes Two. Platforming, collecting items, goofy and imaginative, etc.

For those who don’t know this game is called “Rat Bandicoot 3D” the infamous failed 2007 experiment from the old Crash Bandicoot team. They were trying to diversify the animal roster so they made a rat protagonist while keeping the exact same jump and wumpa-collecting controls but in a way more open 3D kitchen/rooftop world. THQ buried it. Absolute tragedy, we were THIS close to a full ‘Bandicoot Cinematic Universe’ with raccoon and possum spin-offs 😔 but the momentum this lost was irreversible

Modern gamers: "How do I jump onto this roof?! Where's the map or at least a signpost? I think I've got a bug! I can't go any further up here." * after half an hour of poring over Reddit threads * HOW was I supposed to figure out I needed to grab this can and then jump on it?! It's not highlighted as an active item! What kind of idiot designed this game?! 0/10!

Movie based games used to be the best era especially after watching the movie 🎥

Bet y’all don’t remember this one lol

I can't even remember the last movie based video game I've seen. Do they even make them anymore? Now it feels like were doing the reverse and making movies of popular video games.

This just brought back a memory from when I played this on my psp

And this one?

Because games like this were made with passion and fewer corporate expectations… now everything is about microtransactions, deadlines, and “what sells best” instead of creativity and fun 😭🎮

ai eu amava

they don’t want you to be happy

the nostalgia of this game🫶

i used to love this game I need to emulate dis

@andrewpanton it’s time

Looks like a baby game. At what point in this footage can you fail?

This looks like a game from a team that had more talent than you might think, but had to make a game about a rat movie. It just looks like it.

I miss early 2000's movie games, there were bad ones but I remember some were genuinely enjoyable like when I played the game of Kong & the game of Batman Begins, I played both of those 100's of times each.

They have him collecting rotten apples when random pieces of pasta was right there

coz now everybody like multiplayer games

Why is Lemmy collecting apple cores? Isn't his whole thing in the movie that he has far more refined taste and doesn't want to eat garbage?

Modern gaming traded soul for 4K textures. Now we get a hundred GBs of hyper-realistic grass instead of true fun..

u can play this game for better experience

I miss this very Prince of Persia

Bro when doe she start cooking

Why don't they make shitty, cash grab licensed games for whatever movie is popular at the time anymore? I mean, they still do this, they're just as bad.

Final boss fight cut scenes be like "Mr. Rat, where is the cocaine you said you sniffed in the top shelf in that house? Did you bring it"

Sunshine was peak

They do. And it’s on sale too

Cuz kids today are interested in mind numbing brain rot, not collectathons. This one doesn't even have enemies or real obstacles that I can see, so even back in the day there were plenty of better options

They still do! (Demon Tides, Cavern of Dreams, Hat in Time, Tinykin)
