Why don’t we use airless tires?

Good morning! We don't use airless tires much because they make the ride bumpier, heat up faster, cost more to make, and don't work as well at high speeds. They're also heavier, which can lower fuel efficiency. But they are used in some areas, like the military and construction, because they’re tough and don’t get flat tires.

Can the tire stripes withstand the wear and tear of the entire mass of the vehicle? 🤔

These tires would be very useful as spares.

Then they can't sell more tires! Story old as business.
