“I love you, Rem.” 🥹🥹 The way every single episode named after a character in Re:Zero is a masterpiece.. top 5 episode of this entire franchise for me and the best animated episode as well imo, incredible. It’s fitting it’s Ram to finally finish off Gluttony and bring her sister back. As strong a bond as Rem and Subaru have, there’s nothing stronger than a bond between twins. Blood is thicker than water. Technically Subaru was there too since it’s his authority that gave Ram a fighting boost, but still! Ram is so freaking cool. I never really rated her in the first season, but her relationship with Subaru in the absence of REM and her continued character development have turned her into one of my favorite characters in the series and she showed exactly why today. The mix of empathy and badassery, even after she wiped the floor with Gluttony, she empathized with his bond with his sister and nearly spared him! She acts like a mean tsundere with Subaru, but we know she has the biggest heart. I think my fave part of the fight is how angry she got when Gluttony called Subaru, “Subaru-kun” in Rem’s voice because Ram knows how much Rem loves and idolizes Subaru, so that was the ultimate disrespect for which Gluttony HAD to pay. Brilliant. I presume all the people gluttony consumed are now free so we should get the much anticipated Rem awakening next week in the finale?? So much has changed irl and in the show itself since Rem was last awake, this girl used to be EVERYTHING to me so it’ll feel surreal to see her again. #rezero #りゼロ
