Why Farmers Hate the Mercosur Agreement

It's a good idea to remove tariffs. But the agricultural products in both regions, needs to have the same conditions. Otherwise EU will be dependent on food from South America. All EU farmers will slowly perish.

Against because: Make Europe Great Again. I thought they were focused on the "green deal". How does this work if more agricultural products are imported than locally produced? Doesn't this raise their "carbon footprint" or is it suddenly gone? This feels like outsourcing local farmers.

Thought it was for Africa. I would vote in favour of it. F the EU farmers. There are farmers all over the world working their asses of to produce food. Eu farmers are spoiled brats.

We (the US) has been through outsourcing to other countries and now we're bringing it back in house. This deal may be beneficial for EU countries in the short run but it fosters dependence on other countries to provide things you can produce on your own soil. I'd vote NO.
