Why gamescom? It’s the largest consumer gaming event in the world. Every year Avalanche does something unique to push the space forward. Our GDC booths were an awesome moment, but we did those 2 years in a row and wanted to stay fresh. Thinking about where the industry is... today vs 2 years ago it’s clear that we need to give our games the opportunity to get in front of new players. The AVAX team came here last year and it felt obvious that we should be here. Our goal is always to elevate partners, and we’ve got some awesome ones coming together for this. OpenSea played a huge part in this one, they brought in pro Fortnite player Mongraal and drew a huge crowd. Off The Grid area is constantly packed. Pixelmon 🔺 is showcasing 3 different mobile games. Lightning Forge Games (LFG!) 🔺 is crushing it with mini tournaments. Parallel is one of the reasons we’re here, they showed us Gamescom last year and put on a great event for us earlier this year.show more

We should appreciate it and, more importantly, love it. But loving requires understanding and then restoring. There is a great deal to celebrate and there is also a great deal of work that lies before us if we're to restore the republic. One of the central questions for the future of the American Republic is do we still feel an obligation to our experiment in free government? I believe one of the places that we renew the obligation, and begin the restoration, is with a rebirth of instinctive patriotism. I sincerely hope this documentary plays a role in that rebirth.
