Met one guy in a small town in France and he spoke English. When he got to know I was Ghanaian , he was so excited because he said his favourite genre of music is Ghanaian highlife. He listed his favourite bands and I had no idea, I later had to check them out

Bro, your content is right and louder with knowledge but it's heavy! 😂 I just lost 500MB watching your video 🤣

This is the reason Nigerians banned Ghana music in Nigeria and the gatekeepers of Afrobeat or African music are the Nigerians globally and while the same Nigerians are managing the Ghana music industry,you ppl should voice the truth out and stop being biased or hypocrite.

1000% Facts... You dey GH dey do Dancehall.... If anyone out there wants to listen to Dancehall do you think they'll chose you the Ghanaian over vybez Kartel, Mavado, or Popcaan?? We're losing originality

Highlife is cool but it’s mostly enjoyed by the old folks. For most Gen Z’s we like rap and dancehall. And we have Africa’s most finest rappers and dancehall acts. We just don’t have a structured industry with long term visionary leadership like you guys do.

The fact you think we might not like you for this tells a lot about us😔

preachhhhh! no lies detected

@kojo_wiase Cina Soul is a clear example. She fell off completely. Her music was different and stood out, in a league of her own. But now it’s in the same pool as others.

Half truth, contemporary music always have a niche, make contemporary music and your audience just a subset of the market never mainstream

@GyapKay

But you didn’t lie? Ghanaian music is basic

Next time go straight to the point.

I’ve always being saying this chale

@01cartii I’m now seeing your content for ages 😭😭😭😭

Not necessarily true , music evolves , Humans evolve , Hip Hop has evolved even Dancehall has evolved Ghanaians have evolved One of the reasons we barely have global records is bcuz our music to a larger extent is limited to a Ghanaian language & audience..compared to our peers

@JamesTiger98 Music Politics

@grok please explain this video

Bro add link

And he ended up saying nothing and making zero sense

Said alot without saying nothing. Well done bro.

Facts

RCee is an artiste who deserves more push

Facts

Nigerian artist licking their lips to this because as soon as highlife starts popping we know who’s going to cook

I’ve been saying this, we need to stop copying and push our own style of music that’s unique to us , for example the Azonto era was so popular but we never expounded on it
