Goa is experiencing Haryana syndrome. Locals become rich by selling land and then become lazy and rude to tourists who visit them! What a loss to such a beauty—culturally and economically!!

Pretty poor of you to bring up stray dogs Vishal. They are there because of poor waste management. Dogs leave paw prints on the beach. Tourists broken beer bottles.

Would really say Karwar beach, Gokarna beach are better and cleaner than Goa. Karnataka beaches are way better, and are a good alternative I don't know how they have failed to advertise as Goa does.

As a Goan,I totally agree, but maybe a huge drop in tourism may be a good thing, and bring back some of our natural beauty. You are dead right about the garbage and dogs being out of control. Goans also cannot afford to use taxis in their own state. Besides ,Uber not permitted

Well put. Look forward to seeing Goa find its soul once again.

Standard rule of Thumb: BJP Enters => Economy Suffers

Vishal what do you think about all the people who bought flats in Goa with the intention of putting them on Airbnb? These people would likely be hurting now

That bubble burst a while ago

After 2009, all I have seen in Goa was violence of cabbies, restaurants waiter, party organisers, local Goan mafia, etc. i have been visiting as a child with my family and later on with friends. but my last visit was in 2016 and then I gave up on it.

Additionally: 4 - Roads are in poor conditions. Travel time is too much. 5- Hooligan tourists are not contained which makes travelling with families a nuisance. 6- Law enforcement is not seen anywhere except traffic cops to collect fines. You are fined for everything.
