Cuz baseball is the most thrilling sport in the world to watch everyday for 8 months straight…(I love baseball too fyi) A beautiful golf shot to the green is comparable to a beautiful Skubal changeup

The gambling aspect is really fun. And having a favorite golfer. Started for me during Covid when it was one of the first sports to come back.

You’re talking about “Golf’s popularity” when that’s not what it is. It’s “The Masters Popularity” and I think it has more to do with the venue, the history, the beauty and the difficulty of the course. There’s nothing that pops on TV like it sport wise….and gambling on it obvi

I similarly have respect for the athleticism and tradition but both viewing and playing are like watching paint dry for me. Definitely a thing where I’m the odd one out but I just never clicked with golf
