Why Good Law Project is going to challenge Voter ID ⬇️ 🗳️

Conservative Mps want #VoterID Havent we the voters got the right to ask for the whole B*lot of them to be checked by Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services They are all supposed to work with vulnerable people 🙄

On Thursday, a Tory law meant voters without photo ID were denied their right to vote. On Saturday, a Tory law meant the police could arrest people before their peaceful protest began. Tomorrow, a Tory Government will find new targets to oppress & more rights to abolish.

Hearing that they are going to stop people with no ID before they get into polling booths - so they don't count as a "non-voter". Voter suppression in plain sight. We are becoming a fascist country!

My experience today: asked for and showed ID on entering but no list checked. Then gave address to someone else to receive ballot paper without showing ID. What’s to stop me going back later with the same ID and asking for a different ballot paper? How does this stop fraud?

Is there a particular reason why you waited until hundreds of thousands of people have actually BEEN disenfranchised before starting this case? Perhaps better done as soon as law is passed, and BEFORE the elections? Maybe get an injunction to stop implementation?

My wife is 65 and she has voted for the last 47 years My wife had photo ID a train staff travel pass They agreed it was a photo Id card accompanied by a polling card but it wasn't on "their list" she couldnt vote on Thursday absolutely disgraceful

Witnessed two ladies get turned away the elder had no English so the daughter had to explain their look of disappointment & bewilderment would bring a smile to the #Tories … The officer said it’s been widely communicated I wanted shout “F…king Bollocks …”
