Thank you Piers Morgan for having me on to talk about the crisis at hand. The Trump administration was handed a live grenade. The real Epstein cover-up happened nearly 20 years ago, and it’s dark. After Epstein was arrested in 2019 (by Trump's FBI), the media started going after Trump's Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta. He was one of the people responsible for Epstein's sweetheart plea deal in 2008. Trump was asked about Acosta a few days after Epstein's arrest. He said that he didn't know much about the deal but that they would look into it, that he had met Acosta after he became President, and that he hadn't spoken to Epstein in approximately fifteen years. To show how ridiculous this has become, we have Democrat politicians and MSM stating as fact right now that Trump spent Thanksgiving in 2017 with Epstein. They are lying and they do not care. We have reached a new low right now in politics and in media. Shortly after, at Trump's behest, Acosta gave an hour long press conference to explain what happened with the plea deal. Acosta said repeatedly that he was very happy that Epstein was behind bars and would be spending the foreseeable future in prison. The media was not satisfied with Acosta's press conference so Trump and Acosta held a joint press conference to announce his resignation. At no point did Trump appear to be covering up anything with the case. He encouraged reporters to find out who went to the island with Epstein. It's also worth noting that at anytime during the Obama administration Epstein could have been arrested but he was not until Trump became President.

Today I questioned the Solicitor General about the Attorney General’s role in the collapse of the China spy prosecution. Throughout this saga there have been conflicting accounts about who did what, and why decisions were taken. The rules are clear, the Attorney General must be consulted on politically sensitive matters. That doesn’t compromise their independence, it ensures they are informed at the time. We understand from the Director of Public Prosecutions that the Attorney General must have been told there was insufficient evidence to prosecute. If that’s the case, the Attorney General’s duty was to warn the Government that unless they provided more evidence, the case would collapse. So my question: Did the Attorney General say to the Government, “You are not providing enough evidence to secure a prosecution. It is over to you to do as you have been asked by the DPP”? We deserve to know whether that warning was given, and if it was given, why it was ignored.

Thiel was just recycling the same old triple-hearsay 2019 Daily Beast quote, almost certainly originating with Steve Bannon, and then adding newly-invented details to make the quote sound even more authoritative. Somehow this ends up with Thiel claiming that Acosta made the "belonged to intelligence" statement in testimony to Congress -- which is just totally false. Completely made up. The only time Acosta actually did testify under oath on the matter, to DOJ investigators, he expressly *denied* having any knowledge that Epstein was an "intelligence asset," or that Epstein's purported ties to intelligence had any influence on the 2007-2008 plea negotiations in Florida.
