Makes sense. He can place all the guys who will serve him at working level when the police will control all the investigation. Another layer of legal protection for himself. This is more threatening than DOJ minister appointment because it is less visible and at a working level.

Not unusual for new presidents to replace people from previous administration. How many, who, and how long in their jobs may raise questions. Contrarian views are helpful in leadership. As in communist countries you see leaders disappear from public annually. Why they are replaced may be the media's role to ask.

Police appointments follow a clearly established process: a recommendation by the National Police Commissioner โžก๏ธ a nomination by the Minister of the Interior and Safety โžก๏ธ and appointment by the President. But the problem is that the position of National Police Commissioner was deliberately left vacant for an extended period, and then, overnight, a sweeping purge of personnel was carried out to suit his own preferences.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will fly into the eye of a storm when he arrives tomorrow from the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, over KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's series of damning crime allegations against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya. In an extraordinary press briefing in Durban yesterday - which has triggered a flurry of high-profile political reactions from the presidency and ANC officials- Mkhwanazi, a police Lieutenant-General, flanked by district commissioners and heavily armed members of SAPS Special Task Force, accused Mchunu of links with criminal syndicates that wanted to sabotage the Political Killings Task Team. Mkhwanazi said Mchunu had instructed senior SAPS officials to disband the taskforce in March 2025 and withdraw 121 active case dockets, many involving politically motivated assassinations in the province, without authorisation from either the National Police Commissioner or provincial leadership. He revealed evidence found on the phone of accused underworld figure Vusumuzi โ€˜Catโ€™ Matlala links Mchunu to controversial communications through an associate, Brown Mogotsi. Mkhwanazi says Matlala, who was arrested in May for attempted murder, had been awarded a R360-million police contract. The trailblazing and brave KZN police boss also said he has evidence of police involvement in high-profile crime syndicates. He says the rot runs deep, with law enforcement agents, and high-ranking politicians, aiding and abetting crime and drug cartels, especially in Gauteng province.

IG of Police Is a Blackmailer Who Plays to the Gallery โ€“ Osun Information Commissioner, Kolapo Alimi The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, has strongly criticised the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, accusing him of "playing to the gallery" during his recent visit to Osun State and alleging that his comments were politically motivated. Speaking during a podcast aired on Sunday in both Yoruba and English, Alimi described the Inspector-General as a "blackmailer" whose conduct was allegedly intended to serve the interests of the opposition APC rather than uphold professional policing. According to the Commissioner, the Inspector-General's public comments suggesting that Governor Ademola Adeleke was harbouring suspected criminals in the Government House were inappropriate and inconsistent with the conduct expected of the nation's highest-ranking police officer. Alimi said: "A truly unbiased and professional police officer would have discussed the issue with the Governor behind the scenes instead of making such uncomplimentary and unsubstantiated remarks in the presence of journalists. That was done in bad faith. That is a subtle blackmail to destroy the reputation of the Governor. That is playing to the gallery to seek public validation. That was unbecoming of a professional and diligent Inspector-General of Police. A diligent police officer should have got the touted criminals arrested before even coming to Osun if truly the Governor is harbouring criminals." The Commissioner maintained that the Inspector-General's remarks were biased and politically motivated, alleging that they were aimed at advancing the interests of the APC rather than ensuring impartial law enforcement. It will be recalled that during his meeting with Governor Ademola Adeleke last Thursday, the Inspector-General of Police stated that he had been briefed by the Commissioner of Police in Osun State that some wanted suspects, including Emir Ajagungbade, Nurudeen Alowonle, Solomon Adefioye (popularly known as Solo Iwara), Jide Jแปda and other persons on the police wanted list, were allegedly taking refuge within the Osun State Government House, thereby preventing their arrest by the police. Governor Adeleke, however, rejected the allegation, insisting that no wanted criminal was being shielded within the Government House.

BREAKING: New raids now being conducted by National Police. Multiple reports. The following is from Chosun: โ€œPolice conduct raids on more than 10 locations, including the Unification Church and Rep. Jeon Jae-sooโ€™s officeโ€ฆ Investigation moves into full swing By Lee Ki-woo Published: December 15, 2025, 09:10 Updated: December 15, 2025, 10:23 Police investigating allegations of political lobbying by the Unification Church launched compulsory investigative measures on the 15th. The Special Investigation Headquarters formed under the National Investigation Headquarters of the Korean National Police Agency announced that it began search and seizure operations that morning at 10 locations, including the Unification Churchโ€™s Cheon Jeong Gung in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, and the Unification Churchโ€™s Seoul headquarters. The targets of the raids include the homes of three suspectsโ€”former Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Jeon Jae-soo, former Democratic Party lawmaker Lim Jong-seong, and former Future Integration Party lawmaker Kim Gyu-hwanโ€”as well as Rep. Jeon Jae-sooโ€™s National Assembly office, the detention center where Yoon Young-ho is being held, the detention center where President Han Hak-ja is being held, and the office of the special prosecutor investigating Kim Keon-hee. The allegations of unlawful money transfers involving the Unification Church surfaced after Yoon Young-ho, former head of the churchโ€™s World Headquarters, stated that he had delivered money and valuables to political figures between 2018 and 2020. During an interview with the Min Joong-gi special prosecutor team in August, Yoon stated that he had provided money not only to figures from the People Power Party but also to current and former lawmakers of the Democratic Party. Based on this testimony, the special prosecutor prepared an investigative report. The policeโ€™s special task force registered former Minister Jeon, former lawmaker Lim, and former lawmaker Kimโ€”who were identified by Yoon as recipients of the fundsโ€”as criminal suspects and imposed travel bans on them. However, during his subsequent trial, Yoon reversed his earlier statements and is now denying the allegations that he provided money broadly across the political spectrum.โ€ #GodsDreamOneFamily #ReleaseTheMotherOfPeace

National Guard Captain Blows Up J6 Narrative, Accuses U.S. Govt of Lying to the American People "I'm here today to aid the subcommittee in resolving factual errors in the official record of what happened on January 6th, 2021, specifically regarding the alleged District of Columbia National Guard delayed response caused by a critical presidentially appointed, Senate-confirmed Pentagon senior officials," Captain Timothy Nick testified under oath on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. [...] "First, I want to explain my role on January 6th. I was assigned as aid to camp the personal assistant to Major General William Walker, the commanding General of DC National Guard. It was my only second day on the job (!). Please focus on alleged facts found in the November 16th, 2021 Department of Defense Inspector General's multidisciplinary review into the DC National Guard response and Department of Defense's role that day." "I can say unequivocally that the Inspector General's Review is riddled with inaccuracies, misstatements, and perhaps false flags and narratives regarding how critical Pentagon senior officials responded when our republic was under great stress (!!)." "For instance, during a conference call at 2:31 PM with members of United States Army, US Capitol Police, Metropolitan Police Department, District of Columbia Government, and US Secret Service Uniform Division, the US Army's Lieutenant General Walter Piatt, Director of Army staff and the Army's Lieutenant General Charles Flynn, Director of Chief of Staff of Operations were on the call." Also was Colonel John Lubas, executive officer to the Secretary of the Army." "The Army FALSELEY DENIED that General Flynn was ever on the call. This is false and material on its face. Lieutenant Flynn was on the call and even participated in discussions. The defense inspector's review also rounds language papering over the fact that Lieutenant General Piatt, Lieutenant General Flynn, while on the call discussed how they did not like the OPTICS." "That is a direct quote, and they stated it would be in their best military advice to recommend to the Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy, to deny the request from Command General William Walker to deploy the DC National Guard and aid US Capitol Police in restoring restoration of Order Liberty on Capitol Hill." "In addition, former [Army] Secretary Ryan McCarthy claims he was on a two three 1:00 PM call and spoke on that call. This is FALSE, unless he was in the room shadowing the call and he did not speak nor identify himself." "He was not on the call. He was en route to Washington, DC Regional office at the Federal Bureau of Investigation to support that agent's concept of operations plan for January 6th." "He went on the claim that he called and spoke to Major General Walker at least twice, ordering the deployment of the DC National Guard. This is also FALSE. At no time did General Walker take any calls, nor did we ever hear from the secretary on any of the ongoing conference calls or the secure video teleconferencing throughout the day." "This I know because I was with the Command General the entire time recording events throughout the day. Major General Walker told by staff officers to stand by with respect to deploying to the Capitol Hill. Only at 5:09 PM in the early evening, which I wrote down in my wheel book, was the DC Guard given an order to deploy and move to the Capitol to assist Capitol Police." "We arrived too late. One American laid dead with other sisters and brothers injured, including federal and local law enforcement officers. We were ready and standing by. I know if we were able to deploy immediately, when General Walker made the request, the National Guard could have helped and civil disturbance and restored public order quickly." "The Army National Guard motto was always ready, always there. The DC National Guard was ready to help and assist Capitol Police, but we were NOT ALLOWED to do our job due to paralyzed decision-making by acting Secretary of Defense,Chris Miller and Secretary of the Army, Ryan McCarthy..." "This led to a crisis in federal leadership at the Pentagon and delayed the DC response by 3 hours and 19 minutes." This is critical testimony exposing the U.S. government as perpetrating a false narrative of events for January 6 to frame Donald Trump as participating in a treasonous "insurrection" when the opposite was true. The President of the United States had pre-authorized the deployment of 10,000 National Guard troops and delegated this responsibility to the Secretary of the Army. But instead of deploying National Guard troops to secure the capitol during the election challenges in the Electoral College, the Pentagon delayed dispatching troops over an alleged concern for "optics," even as the same government would later call January 6 'an existential threat to democracy.' The U.S. government allowed the January 6 riots to happen in order to frame Donald Trump and his supporters as 'insurrectionists.' It is simple as that.

Zimbabwe has never been led by politics; it has always been led by the gun from the rear. In fact, the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) has always been led by the gun โ€” only the Zimbabwe African Peopleโ€™s Union (ZAPU) was led by politics. The first leader of ZANU was Ndabaningi Sithole. He was removed by the Mgagao Declaration, which was signed by the military wing of ZANU, the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA). The chairman of ZANU and its external leader was Herbert Chitepo. He was also killed by ZANLA in Zambia according to an international commission of inquiry set up by Zambian president, Dr Kenneth Kaunda. The next leader of ZANU was Robert Mugabe. He was installed by the military, although Samora Machel the president of Mozambique had advised them against the idea. Machel was proved right in the fullness of time, but it was the military that endorsed Mugabe through Rex Nhongo who became known as Solomon Mujuru. The Lancaster House talks in Britain were almost stalled by Mugabeโ€™s intransigence, but it was General Josiah Tongogara, with the help of Samora Machel, who forced Mugabe to sign โ€” after Machel sent his special aide, Fernando Honwana, to tell Mugabe to sign or come back to Maputo and write his memoirs on the beach. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, it was the military, through its commanders, that influenced politics. In fact, any time Mugabe felt threatened, it was the military that sorted out party problems. General Solomon Mujuru was nicknamed the Kingmaker because of that, he was a powerful behind-the-scenes Politburo influencer when he was the overall commander of the army. Post-2000, it was the military that kept ZANUPF in power and actually ran its elections in tandem with the CIO. It was General Vitalis Zvinavashe who threatened citizens saying the military wonโ€™t accept a Morgan Tsvangirai victory. Though not a visible Politburo member in the 1980s, he was deeply embedded in both party and military affairs. General Constantino Chiwenga was effectively a military commissar for ZANUPF, executing the first bloodless coup in 2008 when the military stopped Morgan Tsvangirai from taking over after defeating Robert Mugabe. He was heavily involved in the 2013 elections with Air Marshal Muchena and eventually carried out a military coup that put Mnangagwa and the current regime in power. When the new crop of so called technocrats was appointed by Mugabe in 2000, it was General Chiwenga who was involved and when they hit a brick wall, they would return to him. The first time the military refused to be involved in politics โ€” which is the real first aberration โ€” was two weeks ago, when General Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe refused to deploy soldiers against civilians and was fired for that. The ZANUPF spokesman Christopher Mutsvangwa called it disloyalty. If President Emmerson Mnangagwa manages to fire General Chiwenga tomorrow, as rumours suggest, without any blowback or deadly consequences, he would become the first ZANUPF leader to lead the gun โ€” and not be removed by the military. So I disagree with the notion by my brother, Prof Jonathan Moyo, that the 2017 coup was an aberration. It wasnโ€™t โ€” it was the norm. What was an aberration was the amount of violence against the CIO and police officers who tried to resist. What has kept Emmerson Mnangagwa in power after his power struggle with his Vice President is his clansman, General Philip Valerio Sibanda who is the Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. He is opposed to General Chiwenga taking over as president and has been a stumbling block for the Vice President. Mnangagwa has been strategic by removing the former ZANLA army commanders from the top of the military because they are loyal to Chiwenga, who was in ZANLA, and replacing them with ex-Zimbabwe Peopleโ€™s Revolutionary Army (ZIPRA) commanders. General Sibanda and the Commander of the Army, General Emmanuel Matatu, are both ex-ZIPRA, and they are all from the Midlands, like Mnangagwa.

Senior Supreme Court Advocate Shadan Farasat, who was dragged by Delhi Police during last week's protests, has described the situation in the national capital as an โ€œundeclared de facto emergency.โ€ Speaking exclusively to Nidhi Razdan(Nidhi Razdan) on DeKoder, Farasat questioned the Delhi Police crackdown on protesters, students, journalists and lawyers amid demonstrations against the Election Commission of India (ECI), Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the SIR electoral roll revision. Farasat said the Supreme Court is now facing a crucial test, arguing that general orders are no longer enough to protect citizens' constitutional rights. He warned of growing public distrust in the judiciary's willingness to hold the government accountable. On the removal of Jantar Mantar as a designated protest site, Farasat questioned its constitutional validity, citing an earlier Supreme Court judgment and suggesting the decision could be challenged in court. Recounting how police allegedly threw him into a moving bus, he also questioned the legal basis of detentions and accused Delhi Police of behaving like the โ€œprivate army of the ruling party.โ€ Is Delhi witnessing an undeclared emergency? Is the right to peaceful protest under threat? And will the Supreme Court step in? In a recent News24 ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ interview, Lieutenant-General Patekile claimed he was unaware of SAPS members being involved in the taxi industry. That is simply not true. The SAPS was formally made aware of these allegations. On 17 March 2026, I submitted a detailed enquiry containing the names of members, the stations they were attached to and requested clarity on what disciplinary and criminal measures would be taken against them. Section 46 of the SAPS Act prohibits SAPS members from owning minibus taxis, while SAPS National Instruction 18 of 2019 further prohibits any direct or indirect involvement in the taxi industry. We followed every process. We submitted the evidence. We sent numerous follow-up emails. The only responses received were acknowledgements that the matter was "being looked into." Now, after months, maybe even years of inaction, the Provincial Commissioner wants South Africans to believe he knew nothing. He knew. SAPS knew. More than 20 members have since been criminally charged, more than 10 have resigned and additional reports continue to emerge. The facts are clear. The paper trail exists. The evidence was provided. Lieutenant-General Patekile lied. South Africans deserve honest leadership, accountability, and a police service that enforces the law equally not one that ignores it until exposed. Here is one of the videos where I once again brought it up in parliament to the acting police minister and acting national commissioner.

The #HathrasPolice in #UttarPradesh have booked a 54-year-old professor and chief proctor of Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College for allegedly raping female students. The accused, identified as #RajneeshKumar, has been absconding after the police on March 13 filed a First Information Report (FIR) against him under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 64 (rape), and 68 (sexual intercourse by a person in authority), and section 66 (computer-related offences) of the IT Act. โ€œThe FIR has been lodged against the professor by the incharge of the industrial area police outpost. We are hopeful of his arrest soon, but at present, he has managed to escape soon after getting information about the police action against him,โ€ said Chiranjeevi Nath Sinha, Superintendent of Police. The complaint against Kumar, the geography department head, was submitted anonymously to the National Commission for Women (#NCW), higher police officials, and local representatives last year. The complainant also provided about a dozen photographs of the accused in objectionable position with several students from the college. Around 59 videos of the accused with students have surfaced on social media following the filing of the FIR. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Hathras city) Yogendra Krishna Narayan conducted an inquiry into the matter for nearly a month. He attempted to identify the students in the photographs but was unsuccessful. โ€œThe college authorities did not cooperate with the police during my investigation,โ€ he told the local media. The SP then handed the investigation to Additional SP Ashok Kumar Singh, who is believed to have discovered crucial evidence against the professor. He submitted his findings to the SP, who then instructed the local police to file the FIR and ordered prompt arrest of the accused. The college administration, however, has remained silent regarding the issue. Sources indicated that the professor faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment from students in the past, but he was able to suppress those complaints. This is the first instance in which an FIR has been filed against him.

Leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage says โ€œOur institutions don't care about Henry Nowak because he is whiteโ€ He explains how the case is shockingly similar to George Floyd Release the body cam footage โ€œThe Henry Nowak case has not had the coverage and publicity that it deserves. A young man is stabbed 5 times in the street. The police are called. The assailant, the man who's committed the stabbing, says Mr. Novak made racist comments. As a result of that, the police don't believe that he's been stabbed, don't check that he's been stabbed, put him in handcuffs and he dies lying on the ground. Does this remind you of the George Floyd case just a few years ago that happened in the Midwest of America? Within 24 hours of that, because Floyd was Black, we had Parliament statue being defaced in Parliament Square, uproar of the most extraordinary kind. And yet, has the Prime Minister taken the knee for this young man in the way that he did for George Floyd? Has he? Hell, it's almost as if because he's white and he was accused of racism that nobody caresโ€ โ€œHowever, there are some key pieces of evidence here that we need. Forget whatever prison sentence the assailant gets. What we need is the body cam footage from the police to be released, to see whether they took the cry, the false cry of a racist allegation more seriously than someone being stabbed in the streets. I think we deserve to know the truth about Henry Nowak, how he died, what the role of the police was, and what instructions they've got from their senior officers. Release the footage and do it now.โ€ They still refuse to release the body cam footage even though I found out Henryโ€™s family has demanded a full investigation, saying their son โ€œdid not die with dignity.โ€ Hereโ€™s the thing - Police Handcuffed the Dying Victim - Prioritizing the Racism Accusation - Delayed in First Aid - Refuse to Release Body Cam Footage - The Self-Defense Claim was false, even the jury agreed - Police have anti-racism protocols that clearly contributed here You donโ€™t refuse to release evidence if youโ€™re innocent

An allegedly obscene video purportedly showing a serving Karnataka DGP in a compromising position inside his office has triggered a major institutional crisis and led to his suspension. K Ramachandra Rao, Director General of Police (Civil Rights Enforcement), was suspended after the video went viral on social media, prompting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order an immediate probe and stress that no rank is above accountability. The footage, reportedly stitched from multiple clips, appears to show the senior IPS officer with a woman or women in what authorities have described as a โ€œcompromising situation.โ€ Officials have not confirmed the authenticity of the video, how it was recorded, or who circulated it. Rao has denied all allegations, calling the video fake and stating he has no knowledge of its origin. A formal investigation is now underway. Rao was promoted to the rank of DGP in September 2023 and took charge in October the same year. He has previously served as Inspector General of Police of the Southern Range and as Chairman and Managing Director of the Karnataka State Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation. The controversy has also revived scrutiny of earlier cases linked to Rao. In 2014, during his tenure as IGP, his name surfaced in a high-profile cash seizure case involving a private bus travelling from Mysuru to Calicut. Police claimed โ‚น20 lakh was seized, while traders alleged the actual amount was โ‚น2.27 crore, accusing police personnel of collusion and robbery. Though Rao denied wrongdoing, a CID inquiry reportedly flagged serious lapses, with senior officers later stating there was a โ€œgreat degree of lapseโ€ on his part after it emerged that policemen, including his gunman, were allegedly involved. More recently, Rao faced public scrutiny following the arrest of his stepdaughter, Kannada actor Ranya Rao, in a gold smuggling case. She was arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence at Bengaluru airport after allegedly attempting to smuggle more than 14 kg of gold from Dubai, worth over โ‚น12 crore. Investigators alleged she had made multiple foreign trips and was part of a larger smuggling network. Gold jewellery and cash were also reportedly recovered during searches. Rao publicly distanced himself from the case, stating he had no prior knowledge of her activities and that the law should take its course. With multiple controversies now converging, the case has sparked a wider debate on ethics, oversight, and institutional credibility at the highest levels of Karnatakaโ€™s police leadership, as investigations continue on multiple fronts.

The Toronto police corruption scandal just keeps getting worse They must be joking! The Project South police corruption scandal investigation is being headed up by a cop immersed in scandal! You are NOT going to believe who is heading up the Project South police corruption investigation. Namely, a corrupt cop! By way of background, Project South was jointly announced in February by the Toronto Police Service and York Regional Police. The word โ€œshockingโ€ doesnโ€™t even begin to convey the significance of the scandal. As we reported back in the wintertime, several police officers and civilian staffers, mostly employed by the Toronto Police Service but also with Peel Regional Police, were put under investigation for guns and drug trafficking, bribery, breach of trust, and even conspiracy to commit murder! Let us reiterate: these are police officers and civilian staffers of police forces facing numerous criminal charges. In other words, the โ€œgood guysโ€. Allegedly. Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw said at the time that corruption has no place in policing and that the force is committed to leaving no stone unturned and assorted other pronouncements of Grade-A bull-shite. But in the aftermath of all the hot air, how exactly is this initiative playing out? Especially given that Chief Demkiw promised the public a two-year anti-corruption initiative. Project South would get to the bottom of this scandal. It would re-establish trust in policing. Moving forward, the Toronto Police Service would be all about restoring accountability and transparency. And if you believe those whoppers, we have some oceanfront property for sale in Saskatoonโ€ฆ Thatโ€™s because our ex-cop friend Jay Bannister, who now runs the superb MadLab Press website, found out who Chief Demkiw has appointed to run this anti-corruption unit. Namely, Superintendent Riyaz Hussein. Whoโ€™s that, you ask? Well for starters, Hussein is a police officer who is no stranger himself when it comes to being arrested and convicted of a crime! Hereโ€™s the skinny: Hussein used to serve as a quasi-judge at the Toronto Police Tribunal where he was in charge of judging bad cops and even handing down sentences to those cops found guilty. All of which is quite rich because Hussein is far from squeaky clean himself. Back in 2022, according to Oshawa court staff, Hussein pleaded guilty to driving with a blood alcohol level over .80 in connection with a crash that occurred in Pickering, Ont. Hussein, who was apparently as drunk as a skunk at the time of the accident, slammed his unmarked police cruiser into the back of a delivery truck on Highway 401. There was even an open bottle of liquor in his car โ€“ Appletonโ€™s Rum to be precise. When Hussein was arrested by police at the scene of the accident, one officer noted that this reprobate was so inebriated that he could barely stand up. Hussien was later suspended with pay and, if you can believe it, was back on the job just a month later! He was also found guilty and sentenced to a one-year driving prohibition and fined $1,560. He was also demoted to inspector for a year. But get this: he would later be cranked up to superintendent again. Why? Nobody knows. And the irony could not be more perverse nor profound: the police officer in charge of Project South โ€“ the investigation into police corruption โ€“ is corrupt himself! The question arises: what the hell is Chief Demkiw thinking? Why is a convicted drunk driver investigating corrupt cops? Hussein shouldnโ€™t even be employed as a meter maid. And so much for accountability and disclosure! Itโ€™s a joke, albeit one without a punchline. And this latest sordid chapter in Toronto Police history reminds us of one of our favourite Latin quotes: โ€œQuis custodiet ipsos custodes.โ€ Translation: โ€œWho guards the guardians?โ€

Custodial death of an 18 year old Irfan in Karachi . Irfan who belonged to Ahmedpur Sharqia had recently come to Karachi to live with his uncle after being affected by the disastrous flood. On the morning of 11:30am on 22nd October he along with three of his relatives Kamran, Salman and Nasir were abducted from the roadside by Police Officials of SIU/CIA who registered no case, did not cause any formal arrest and subject the youth to torture resulting in his death after which they left his body at JPMC. The families got a call from police on the night of 23rd Oct to come and collect the three boys. The Police trying to cover their steps registered a bogus and illegal FIR under the wrong provisions of law through SHO SIU/CIA as Sadr PS under Section 319 PPC which relates to Qatl-e-khata and is a bailable offence. This is a case of murder under Section 302 PPC punishable under Section 9 of the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Act 2022 which mandates tries all guilty police officials including all aiders and abettors. The family after protesting for 5 days in Karachi have left for Ahmedpur Sharqia for Irfan's burial. They were not involved during the Post mortem of the body and have not been provided any report as yet. Under the Custodial Torture law any and all investigating is exclusive mandate of FIA under the supervision of National Commission of Human Rights. The high ups of Sindh Police in order to appease the media have suspended some of the officials involved in the incident but even they are aware that a faulty FIR has been registered and proper proceedings are not taking place. We demand that National Commission for Human Rights takes immediate notice of this incident and a Complaint be registered with FIA without further delay, the police official be arrested and proper investigation be launched against Irfan's custodial death and without wasting any time the testimony of Salman, Kamran and Nasir be preserved by recording their statements under Section 164 Cr.P.C before magistrate. #JusticeForIrfan

Why are Koreans raging against Lee Kang In? ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Long post // Read ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿšจ Lee Kang In's play during the semi-final Jordan game is making the rounds in Korean online communities. Among many things, he is being blamed for playing a part in the concession of both goals. In this short clip, his part in the concession of the 2nd goal is shared. Netizens claim that Lee Kang In should have passed to Son Heung Min in this moment, and that Hwang In Beom even motioned to go that direction, but Lee Kang In out of spite dribbled to the right, and being surrounded by defenders passed off the ball to Hwang In Beom in a precarious situation, leading to the turn over which eventually led to Al-tamari's goal. Netizens claim that similar mistakes by Lee Kang In led to Park Yong Woo being in a position of losing the ball for the first conceded goal. It's not only these plays, but netizens--who have previously championed Lee Kang In's ball possession and technical plays--now are blaming Lee Kang In for being too individualistic and selfish in his play and not doing enough to be the playmaker. He's also being blamed for barely passing to Son Heung Mi in the Jordan game while Son Heung Min passed to Lee Kang In numerous times. Netizens are claiming that Lee Kang In's emotions to Sonny caused disruption for the Korean side, while Sonny was intentionally reconciliatory in his play, generously giving the ball to Lee Kang In many times. Finally, Lee Kang In is apparently quoted at some point to have said, "Whether I get selected to the National Team or not, it doesn't matter" That has soured the opinions of many netizens about him claiming that he lacks an understanding of the weight of being on the national team, and raises doubts about his sense of responsibility. It's also been raised that in the past at the young age of 18, he's spoken "informal korean" (considered very disrespectful in Korean culture) to senior members and that's caused some tension in the team. According to the opinion of the writers at Radio Korea News (Just one sample news outlet) the probability of Lee Kang In to be chosen to be on National team seems low and they have doubts whether key players such as Sonny, Minjae, and Hwang Hee Chan will join the team if Lee Kang In is chosen. In summary, there appear to significant doubts within the Korean community whether Lee deserves to be on the team and many appear to hold doubts whether the national team can function with a player like him. These are heavy thoughts. Whatever you make of their validity, these unfortunately appear to be the reasons behind the reactions of a significant portion of the Korean soccer community. ๐Ÿ˜” Source video - ( also / Radio Korea News

During a police raid in a village in #Rajathan's #Alwar district on Sunday morning, #Alisba, a one-month-old infant, allegedly died after being crushed under a police officerโ€™s foot while sleeping on a cot beside her mother. Imran, a daily-wage laborer, said that while he was sleeping beside two of his three children, his wife was sleeping with their one-month-old daughter, Alisba, who was wrapped in a blanket when the police barged into their house at about 6 am without prior notice. According to reports, in #Raghunathgarh village under the #Naugaon police station area, the police team that conducted the raid at Imran Khanโ€™s house was led by head constables Girdhari and Jagveer, along with constables Sunil, Rishi, and Shahid. When the police failed to address the familyโ€™s complaint, enraged villagers gathered outside the residence of Alwar SP (Rural), demanding justice and staging a demonstration to protest the alleged brutality. โ€œWhen I was sleeping on the cot with my infant daughter, the policemen arrived all of a sudden, pulled me out, and sent me out of the room. They also pulled my husband out. They stepped on my infant daughterโ€™s head and killed her. This is murder, and I want justice,โ€ Razida Khan, mother of the deceased infant, told to media. Later, ASP Tejpal Singh confirmed that an FIR had been registered against unnamed police officials, and Khanโ€™s family was assured of action against those responsible. The accused were sent to police lines by Alwar SP Sanjeev Nain after the FIR was registered. Police sources said the raid was conducted in connection with a cybercrime case as part of an ongoing police campaign. However, there was no case registered against Imran Khan, and he was not named in any FIR related to such cases so far. Imran also denied any involvement in online fraud and alleged that the cops took away his mobile phone during the raid. Rajasthan LoP Tika Ram Jully urged the chief minister to take strict action against those responsible. โ€œIn Alwar, the police are harassing the public in the name of cyber fraud. Raids are being conducted, and money is extorted. I raised this issue in the Vidhan Sabha as well. An infant died during the raid by the police. The Chief Minister should take cognizance and ensure that the public is not harassed. Action should be taken against those responsible, but the public should not be harassed.โ€

The Lee Jae-myung administration faces mounting criticism after the United States reinstated 25% tariffs on major South Korean exports, including automobiles, lumber, and pharmaceuticals. The move came shortly after Prime Minister Kim Min-seok's visit to the U.S., where he reportedly secured a diplomatic hotline and touted successful consultations. Yet the Deputy Prime Minister of Economy and Finance publicly acknowledged having no understanding of why the tariffs were reimposed, stating that officials would only grasp the situation over the weekend and that no immediate answers could be provided to the National Assembly. This development follows a pattern of trade friction under the renewed Trump administration, which has targeted perceived imbalances in Korea-U.S. economic relations. The tariffs threaten core export sectors that drive South Korea's economy, raising the risk of reduced corporate margins, job pressures in related industries, and higher costs passed to consumers. The government's apparent lack of preparednessโ€”despite prior U.S. warningsโ€”has fueled accusations of diplomatic failure and inadequate contingency planning. Society needs to understand this because U.S. tariffs directly impact national economic performance, household budgets, and alliance credibility. When a high-level diplomatic visit yields no apparent safeguards against predictable trade pressure, it exposes vulnerabilities in Korea's external strategy at a time of heightened global uncertainty. As the economic fallout begins, how can South Korea effectively defend its interests in Washington when its own officials admit they lack basic insight into the crisis?
