Listening to Australian women talk about International Women's Day all the way back in 1975 is quite eye-opening. It demonstrates that the changes in Australian society did not come from the people or their lived experiences, but from a global, years-long engineered agenda. One of the women summed it up well: "I'm very skeptical about some extreme disparity to. I think actually women are in that danger of being dominated by women being told to liberate themselves by doing what other women want them to do."

23 years ago, I made the most difficult decision of my life. 5 years ago, I had to tell that story on the House floor to fight the passage of the extremist, no-exception abortion ban from passing. Today in Texas, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I’m thinking of all the women who are dying and risking their lives and fertility because Greg Abbott decided we should be forced by Government to carry a sick baby that will not live. When I’m governor, we will make sure that every woman has the right to privacy, dignity, and care.

This is the Security Command of Balkh Province, Afghanistan. It is a place where female police officers address women’s concerns. Women are active here in various roles—from conducting searches and detaining female suspects, to investigating cases of domestic violence and carrying out biometric procedures. Nearly fifty female officers are working in the security sector in this province. Based on need, women serve in similar roles in other provinces as well. This is presented as one example of women’s participation under the government of the Islamic Emirate. There are dozens of other sectors in which women are employed and receive salaries from the government. So do not be misled by the propaganda of enemies

For working women, maternity leaves has been increased to six months on the insistence of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Two years ago, we came up with a scheme where we increased interest rates on deposits made by women to 7.5% to encourage women to keep their savings in banks rather than keeping that as cash at homes. Property registration in the name of women have tax concessions. Under Poshan Scheme, the nutritional needs of pregnant women and lactating mothers are being met. Under PM Awas Yojana, registration of pucca houses is done either in the name of a woman or jointly with that of a male member. So, India is changing and so are the Indian women. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman at the Hoover Institution in Stanford University in California. India in San Francisco India in USA

Two female IDF soldiers are chased by a mob of Haredi men in Bnei Brak before they are extracted by police. The servcieowmen serve with the Education Corps, and were in the ultra-Orthodox city as part of a home visit to one of their soldiers. They are not with the Military Police, contrary to some claims. Footage circulating on social media shows the two women running as they are escorted by police, as a large crowd of men chases after them. Trash cans are knocked over as the rioting group follows the women through the street in the Haredi-majority city. The crowd also overturned a police car. Police say in statement that the situation is now under control after the two soldiers were extracted from the area. The IDF has not yet commented.

We want to thank God for those great men and women who devoted themselves to the service of the nation and in the line of duty, lost their lives while others were maimed or became incapacitated. Some died in the course of battle, some died as a result of injuries sustained in the course of protecting the nation, and they left their loved ones behind. As an institution, the armed forces are very crucial and central to the survival of every nation, and I must admit, like every institution in Nigeria, things have not been well. As a government, we will continue to provide the necessary tools and enabling environment for the Armed Forces to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of citizens in the State. We will continue to honor our fallen heroes who sacrificed for our nation’s security.

There is a well-maintained Polish war cemetery in Iran, located in the eastern suburbs of Tehran. It is managed by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, based on a 1943 title deed issued to the Polish authorities by the Iranian Ministry of Justice. This site is the primary and largest burial ground for Polish refugees in Iran from the World War II era. It contains the graves of 1,937 Poles, including 409 soldiers and 1,528 civilians. Aside from 45 individuals buried after 1945, most were refugees evacuated from the Soviet Union between 1942 and 1944. They passed away in Tehran's hospitals and evacuation camps, primarily due to epidemics and general exhaustion following their harrowing experiences in Soviet gulags. Tragically, a large number of the deceased were infants. The cemetery features two notable stone pedestals, one of which is engraved with the White Eagle and the Virtuti Militari cross. A pine-lined avenue leads to a central monument topped with an iron cross. In front of the statue, a commemorative plaque bearing the Polish emblem reads: "In memory of the Polish exiles who, on their way to the Fatherland, came to rest in God forever. 1942–1944." Identical inscriptions in French and Persian are located on the reverse side. Surrounding this central monument are rows of graves, each marked by a pale concrete slab engraved with a cross, the person's name, dates of birth and death, and - for soldiers - their military rank.

On this International Women’s Day, I am reminded of the sacrifices made throughout history and the long battle fought to secure the rights of women. However it is sad to think that in 2026, women’s rights are still under attack. As Margaret Thatcher once said, “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.” I will always proudly stand up and fight against the problems faced by women. Women and girls must have the right to safe, protected and fair spaces, whether in sport, prisons, changing rooms or public places.

Furthermore, their own "prophet," Muhammad, captured women in war and treated them as a tradable commodity. The "immutable, ever-relevant" Quran explicitly permits women to be kept as sex slaves. Stonings, honor killings, floggings, and even the mutilation of female genitalia are employed in the Islamic world to keep women in their place, The many opportunities denied women under Islamic law, from equal testimony in court to the simple right to exclude other wives from their marital bed, is very clear proof that women are of lesser value than men in Islam. Muslim women are not even free to marry outside the faith - and some pay with their lives for doing so. Islamic law also specifies that when a woman is murdered by a man, her family is owed only half as much "blood money" (diya) as they would be if she had been a man. (The life of a non-Muslim is generally assessed at one-third).
