The systematic attack on small and medium industries through incompetent policies like a bad GST and demonetisation has turned India from a producing economy to a consuming one. At this rate we can neither compete with China nor ensure prosperity for all Indians. India deserves better. We must simplify GST and open up the banking system to small businesses to promote widespread opportunity and job creation.

If Indonesia can get its Tariff down from 32% to 19 % by Vietnam to 20 % , why not India. Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia & China have lower Tariffs than India. This is a complete failure of India’s foreign policy under Narendra Modi Jewellery, shrimps, and garments are going to be hit the hardest — a company called Creative Group which exports garments has already said it will have to sack 6,000–7,000 employees because continuing will be impossible. We had a trade surplus with the US, but trade is now set to fall from $87 billion to $49.6 billion.

In simple terms, India gets real-time visibility into how China is moving and where its forces are positioned. Take Vietnam, for example. It sits right on China’s doorstep. The BrahMos systems there aren’t just for show — they’re part of a defensive setup, with missiles pointed in China’s direction. Not because these countries are looking to start a fight, but because it strengthens their security posture. This is how India uses trust as currency — something very few major powers can claim today.
