I’ve never considered myself intelligent, but I can feel every word he says. Maybe there’s something besides intelligence that causes us to feel these things.

Everyday all day all the time. I have to stay humble because I'm not better than anyone else but it's exhausting to sit in the circles of trivia

This is very well put. What I might add is that “intelligence” does not just relate to IQ (although that is certainly a part of the larger picture). “Connecting the dots” which is what he describing here is actually wisdom. That requires intellect, but also empathy, and a “big picture” view of things. Few possess that combo and when they show up, they are not normally well-received.

This is not Alan Watts, this is AI imitation. At least you could note that if you're going to use his voice and likeness to discuss something he didn't ever discuss directly like this.

This is exactly why often see so many really smart, highly intelligent people just simply give up and quit at some point - on everything. They eventually come to the realization that it's just not worth the effort anymore, on anything. So, they throw in the towel and walk away.

"Honesty is social suicide"... "separates you,"... "see differently"... "connecting dots others don't, you can't help it" INNATE DRIVE "being right about things people don't want to examine," TRUE "makes you dangerous, they distance themselves, you learn to dumb down"... TRUTH!

I personally experienced this. You just want to let them flow with their brainwashing and normie thinking at some point. Don't bother, don't reason with them, don't feel guilt about the things you can't convince them. Let it flow, they don't deserve to be awaken.

There’s a difference between intelligence & wisdom. One can be both smart & wise. Wisdom balances knowing you have higher thoughts, more intricate understanding of things that you may feel alone, or superior to the less intellectual. Wisdom shows that inner happiness comes from awareness there are many levels of knowledge, that seemingly simple thoughts can mask very complex personalities. One should listen, partake & embrace relating with the diversity life offers, ultimately expanding your horizons, knowledge & increasing wisdom. Creating a more loving, accepting & happier person.

I've not been invited to things at our meetings because I'm too negative I'm never in a good mood which I am I just don't understand why nobody else can see the world as evil as it is and finally that there is a Divine conspiracy to make things right. It is extremely lonely

Alan Watts is fine, until he tries to “not explain” Zen. If you truly listen to people because you care for them, your honesty is all they will accept. You’ll find them starving for it and therefore receptive. Normies can be boring. Focus on others. No intelligence necessary.

Nice, but an individual can have a high intelligence and also exceptional social skills which can allow them to have enjoyable, meaningful moments with others which don't require deep thought - and there are aspects of these moments that can also engage the mind. Or, you can just get a dog, lol.

I'd replace "intelligent" with "awake." There ARE intelligent people who are NOT aware. Who have no idea what's going on. They are intelligent, but ignorant.

Sure, you live in a world inaccessible to the vast majority when you're high IQ. But what mostly leads to isolation is the fact you see them as they are : selfish, childish, wicked, manipulating, small minded - and the question arises "why the fuck bother ?".
