Sick of your negativity, why didn’t you do it in the Tory years when they tripled debt and decimated our public services as well as wasted billions on corrupt contracts. This Govt is trying to sort out their mess.

Shame the MSM pushed for Labour to win the last election, rather than warn the public they would break the finances, as they always do.

Your analysis is great, it shows starkly that the idea we’re a rich country that can afford ever increasing welfare and health spending and cosy environmental projects is just pure fantasy. The only increase in spend should be on capital. Productive assets. 000’s of new houses.

So where is all our money and taxes actually going? Because our taxes have been flying up, whilst standards of service and infrastructure has been plummeting. What massive societal change has been happening during that 15-20 year period?…

@MerrynSW This is alarmist. The debt won't get to that hyper-extreme level, because there will be a monetary collapse well before then, which will solve the problem organically.

Should have allowed Liz to cut taxes and red tape to generate growth - never mind…
