Why is Caleb Williams taking a sack on this play? Roschon Johnson is open in the middle of the field. Nothing wrong with taking the check down.

He didn’t see him…. That second video shows how he got lost behind big Matt Pryor.

Idk maybe because Pryor & the defender blocks the view of RoJo. Y’all need to stop acting like Caleb has x ray vision or sees the field like fans do from the all 22 angle. The real question is wtf are those route concepts & why is there zero routes from a WR/TE in the MOF

He’s had no problems doing that so far this year so I’m going to assume he was just out of his rhythm at this point from running for his life and was maybe big game hunting/pressing a bit too much

Remember Fields use to do this looking for the big play and then he learned! to take what he had right away….this is what rookies have to learn

He can’t see him. Perhaps Williams height will become an issue…

The end zone view shows that there is no LOS from Caleb to Roschon. Too many big guys in the path. Caleb is trying to clear that wall so he can see.
