Why is Chito Vera fighting for the belt? 😭

@chitoveraUFC

Bro literally couldn’t touch Cory lmao

He had 25 mins 💀

@ChaseTheSackMMA Fluke sadly

How so?

How can you suck this bad at your job? 💀

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I legit can’t believe him vs Sean is a ppv main event. Like we’re being robbed big time

Everything just came together perfectly for him to get the title shot. He got lucky with the timing, simple as that. Cory is out injured, Dana is pissed at Aljo and Merab for not fighting each other, Henry's last fight was a title fight loss and Chito just beat Pedro.

To be fair, more than half of those shots were blocked, Chito just never pulled the trigger

Cory’s a snore fest and ran his last 3 fights.

bc sean only fights either bums or champions and they are all out of champions

story line

You misspelled Colby

Availability

I see three reasons. Sean wanted it. Chito is typically a fan favorite, puts on a good showman's acts. And of course it can be justified by Chito's previous victory.

Because everybody more deserving is literally hurt. Merab and Cory were both injured when the fight was booked

Money and Cory was injured ffs….however seen he’s rumoured to fight umar again??? So they could have delayed suga Vs Cory😴😴

It’s horrible man.

Sean can make the UFC more money if he defends. Tbh Chito is his best bet

PPV buys

Because he beat the current champion. Albeit he beat him before he was actually champion, he’s still the one and only person in the division who has a win over the champ. So it makes sense.

Entertainment era

So he can get knocked out in the 1st round

It’s a fight that sells

Cause he's the only one to have beaten the current champ. UFC doesn't book on meritocracy. They book on PPV sales. We've seen so many title shots for undeserved peeps. Sometimes they win.

Plot

Because it’s the most interesting and fun title fight

Cause Dana doesn’t want Sean to loose the e belt fast cause of his hype and money he brings in and he most likely believes Sean will get a big ko vs chito which means more numbers and more hype

Same reason Henderson got one at Bisping got a win over him and he was a ppv star the champ that is

He moves the needle

because sean is too smart to fight the sandman

They like Sean's chances against Chito more than his against Corey.

@MerabDvalishvil Cause Merab doesn’t want to fight his friend.

Champion's choice

Gives ufc another 8 months of O’mally money. Keep him away from Merab

Cuz the current champ don’t wanna lose the belt

Because it's going to be a good fight.
