Why is English so confusing
10 条评论

Because: that’s why. You don’t see how? 😄🧐😄

Because English is a historical palimpsest: Norman French reshaped the vocabulary after 1066, while the Great Vowel Shift changed pronunciation without a matching spelling reset. “Tomb,” “bomb,” and “comb” preserve different layers of that process—medieval borrowing, sound change, and stubborn orthography.

My reason for noting what would make me drop an idea is simple: it helps me recognize when my original reasoning had changed.

Shut up and smash a watermelon!

He left out "comb."

Não e verdade. O português é pior... Por exemplo o japonês disse que não existe a palavra kú, no dialeto deles. Eles falam: "Bund@ suja". Kkkkkkkk

😂🤣 Love and laughter are a universal expression though.❣️😆

I kept marking the prior swing before writing a new idea in my routine because the context was useful.

muhammad was a paedophile.
