Why is everything a struggle for the Cybertruck ?

Here comes the “you need mud tires” crowd.

Wet clay and the wrong tires I am sorry was this staged to make it look bad

!!!!

🤭

It’s the tires

@CyberMikeOG

@CyberMikeOG

Anyone who knows anything about off-roading will tell you - If all four wheels are spinning, then you have a tire problem. There’s literally nothing else it could be.

Who made the tires spin?

@bpitas Cave man

@bpitas

That's actually impressive that it made it up a muddy hill with street tires. I need to get one of these.

True

Because it's a minivan that should not be driven in these areas.

Don’t drag my model X into this 😤

Keep hating so the price comes down and I can get one. PLEASE KEEP HATING ON CYBERTRUCK I want one so bad.

I’m doing my best

It’s obvious from the video that the driver doesn’t know what they’re doing, and that would be your observation if you had a clue also… My Cyber has gone EVERYWHERE over landing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with Zero Issues and a competent person behind the wheel

Hard landing in Colorado?

Tesla recommends 50psi for tire pressure. Overlanders and off-roaders know that we need 10-20psi to go off terrain. The sidewall of the tires clearly state 10 psi is safe.

Tesla should just recommend you buy a proper off road vehicle.

Tyre be like

😂

Off roading is not complicated. It comes down to lockers or lack thereof, tires, mass, clearance, and articulation. The CT has mediocre articulation but this trail isn’t demanding much articulation. It’s doing about as well as anything else would with the same driver & tires.

Well said

Because it sucks ass.

It's literally a garbage can on wheels.

Go fuck yourself 🤌 FIAT Panda 4x4 FTW

💥

You know Elon post's these because they spread better than any an advertising agency could make. Also, I think EVs are lame but to be fair, this video was made with road tires and the truck did keep moving. If you are moving, you aint stuck.

Good assessment

It was designed by geeks. Automatous vehicles with camera's everywhere doesn't scream FREEDOM to me. BIG NO THANKS for me!! No to mention installing a charging station port in muh house for thousands of dollars..... 👎

Aren’t most things designed by geeks?

I guess to a degree that would be true, but you know what I mean. It's not like it was some industry proven Geeks that make Ford and Chevy Trucks that would Blaze straight past that "Cyber Truck" - shit they might roll flat over that shit! 😆😝🤣👌

Not to take up for this abomination, but those aren't exactly offroad tires.

Less tire pressure would have helped.

It’s always something though

Driver error? I feel like it should be able to do this easily.

Feel like we all make excuses for this thing.

Maybe but it does get more hate than it deserves.

Go check the source, @ogre_codes who has a lot of amazing off road Cybertruck videos.

Mud's the worst. The fact that all four wheels are spinning uniformly but not excessively speaks well for the truck. It needs better tires, but even with those, mud is the worst.

Good point

I’ll stick with my 4Runner.

🍻

@Testrun071 Do you still have a 4 Runner with a cracked window?

@Testrun071 Wife took it. And I’m on third windshield for the 4 runner I drive the X daily

@KenrikMarch How in the hell are you on the 3rd windshield? We have a Y and we love it, but my 4Runner is my apocalypse vehicle.

Not bad for street tires man

Agreed

Was designed for looks, not function.

You know absolutely nothing about cars, because if you did, you'd know this is an issue with the right set of tires, not the car.

The problem with the Cybertruck is that its design and marketing are disconnected from reality. It's a great street truck, but it's a horrible off-road truck. Also, the exterior design is just bad and it will look aged AF in just a year or two.

It’s why people put on ice skates instead of hiking boots when they go ice skating.

WOW, this is a no brainer! it's deals with the amount of weight!!! think of a fat kid trying to climb the same muddy hill as skinny kid. Skinny kid just kinda glides up the hill, fat kid keeps sliding, given foot area nearly same!

So I see you stole this post from a cyber truck Page on Facebook and the owner said that he did go off-road and he said the truck performed very well with the stock tires. He definitely is putting on mud tires for the next time he goes offloading.! so next time you steal a post make sure you include what the owner has said

Your being a little disingenuous, it’s a heavy electric vehicle with road tires. A little modification,…. Ahem A lot of modification to tires and suspension and it would go like hell with all that torque.

Looks like navigating a sloppy clay with only highway tires. That will never work.

this was staged to look bad , from the wrong tires. to slick clay

In this particular case I would say the struggle is with the owner for trying to drive that muddy path with street tires.

It's all in the tires. Any vehicle with shit tires will struggle.
