Why is it always about trying to deceive God?

The whole idea behind covering the hair is modesty and limiting who gets to see you. I do not understand the logic of hiding your natural hair only to wear a wig that looks even better than your real hair!

What’s the point of covering your hair with something that looks exactly like your hair?

In the Bible, God’s chosen people time and time again fail to follow some very simple rules and or cheat them.

Actually, I'm also against wigs in Judaism. As are other religious Jews. The point is to cover the hair, not make fake hair to wear over it that looks just as good, if not better.

Biblically this is exactly why God ended his exclusive covenant with them and had Jesus open it up to anyone who believed in him. Their continual breaking of the commandments by finding "loopholes" pissed God off so much he removed their "chosen" status. It's the peak of hubris to think you can fool the creator of everything by doing things like this. I have no idea how they legitimately still believe they're being faithful to their creator when they're constantly trying to trick and deceive him.
