CMP/WM&RC MOU:

WM&RC 990s -

👌🏻 #Benavides #LeoSantaCruz #Box

I believe this goes further back than this. I'm going from just recall on this, but Gov Lepage had a hand in starting this relationship. There was a backdoor agreement made without voters aproval to go ahead with this corridor.

John, I find your work journalistically tight. You laid out the facts now TWICE.💪 @BigSteve207 ... well I have to say that a blanket statement like that was strangely vague. I would like to extend an INVITATION to DEBATE each other LIVESTEAM on my channel. I'll moderate.

@BigSteve207 Lets do it 👍

Another guy who screwed Maine for self profit was Sen Angus King when he was Gov. It would be another good pr story for the dems. Ha.

@BigSteve207 would be the 1st to cheer if you found proof of corruption. You however simply haven’t done that yet. Then in this new vid, you state you believe what is going on is that MAYBE the @TheMaineWire receives funding so they’re running cover - again with no proof…

John, take a moment to rewatch the original video. it's the claims that were made without evidence. When you're running for office, accuracy matters. This isn’t about suppressing questions; it’s about being responsible with your platform. Asking tough questions is essential in any democracy, and scrutiny is healthy. But labeling something a “clear example of political corruption” without evidence isn’t scrutiny, it’s speculation, and frankly, it’s intellectually lazy. Contrary to the claim, he didn’t “receive” $22 million. Watch the video again and see what ge claims. That funding was allocated to a nonprofit where he serves on the board. It’s not personal income as it is insinuated. There’s a huge difference, and suggesting otherwise is misleading. The money hasn’t even been distributed yet. The allocation of the funds are intended to benefit the community. The MOU governing the funds even includes a inurement clause to explicitly prevent personal gain. Criticism and skepticism are welcome, but they need to be rooted in fact, not speculation. If we’re going to debate the merits of the corridor project, let’s do that honestly. But let’s also acknowledge that the opposition wasn’t purely grassroots or truly bipartisan. It was fueled in large part by a strategic dark money astroturf campaign, with backing from groups like NextGen and progressive activists pursuing their own agendas. That becomes clear when you actually dig into the court documents. What’s more disappointing is watching you double down, then dismiss pushback by saying, “It must be a conspiracy, they must work for the company.” That kind of rhetoric doesn’t serve the public, it just muddies the waters. Because if you do run. Progressives are going to have a field day over this.

Wow egotistical much? There's a lot of "me me me" here lmfao You sound like a bitch

Dismissing the other concerns doesn’t help. Those are real concerns as well, because we deal with them in the streets daily. You raise good questions, but your approach just disregarded other legitimate concerns in #Maine. I wish you luck, but read the room.
