The best setting would be a student teacher like setting. Where everyone attending is trying to learn about a problem. The most knowledgable guy explains regradless of the hierarchy. The fruitfulness of the meeting would be the no of great ques asked. Not answers necessarily.

The fallacy many people hold is viewing those things as the only truth; it’s not about PowerPoint vs. Word, it’s about promoting the best and most well-thought-through ideas. The current Amazon still uses Word, but it has become more about politics than content. In the end, it’s the founder and the culture he built that determine whether the best ideas get promoted.
