I'm quite disappointed in this video for many reasons. But to point out something that I haven't already seen pointed out in the comments - Judaism does not view chicken and meat similarly. Jewish tradition teaches that the 3 appearances of that verse only apply to meat, not fowl, and come to teach 3 rules: 1. You can't cook meat & milk together 2. You can't eat them together 3. You can't derive benefit from the mixture Later in history, the Rabbis extended the law to fowl, but only the prohibition of eating them together. There is no direct rabbinic ban on cooking or selling chicken parmesean (although there is still the issue of מראית עין to deal with.)

Is this one of those ‘Tik tok’ education vids? I’ll stick to what my Rabbi & teachers taught me.

Sure. Why think when someone can just tell you.

I absolutely love your content!! However, I don't think it's fair to represent this as the authoritative way of understanding it. Plus, the idea that Halacha is based on the Rabbi's understandings and extrapolations is central to the way we practice. Lastly, how do Yemenites pronounce the word in Shemot?

Authoritative it isn't. Of course. In fact, this reading first appears in the writings of a Karaite scholar. That being said, I think this is the best reading of the text in context. Regarding Halacha and its source – no argument. As for reading traditions, all Jews agree on this

This might be the single stupidest take on Judaism I have ever heard. Truly impressive.

@haaretz No. When did you convert to Islam Elon?

@Haaretz I’m a proud (unobservant) Jew. Always was, always will be.

1. Where else is בשל ever used to mean an animal maturing? It can mean ripen, but it is only used that way for plants. 2. It appears 3 times (not 2), using the exact same language. 3. In Exodus it is not among laws about bringing sacrifices. It is among laws about the holidays.

Also, it says it THREE times not two! Come on.
