Maggie's had my brain racing since our chat 😅 So I'm doing a little write up about becoming an AI-native designer. Sign up here to get the breakdown + full episode when it goes live 👇

@round @Mappletons Well said Maggie

Fully agreed! Have been thinking a lot about what the future of AI native user interfaces will look like. One thing I like to do is give AI access to the same interface the user has and allow the user to communicate with the AI through this interface (instead of a chat interface which is a completely separate surface area). This is why GitHub copilot feels so great. As a user, I write code in the same interface (VsCode) I've always had and AI (who also has access to that interface) can decide when/where to show me autocomplete. (Also the ipad calculator that was unveiled at wwdc). There’s so much more to discover!

@Mappletons Great take @Mappletons !

@Mappletons This reminds me directly of what @edwin_bodge and @meganbednarczyk hit on in part of their Config 2023 talk that I keep returning to (especially as a fellow product designer in the EdTech space). I've got this bookmarked:

@joindiveclub @Mappletons I love this point of view. I’m looking forward to more apps with very specific inputs and narrowly defined AI outputs. I think that’s going to be the turning points from everything looking and feeling like it was made with AI to becoming really standout work.
@Mappletons 100% on the money!

@Mappletons !!! v excited for this one

@Mappletons one of my favorites I think you'll like it a lot :)

@Mappletons Can’t wait for this episode!
