Why many JEE toppers struggle at IITs? The thing is, JEE has ZERO connection with real mind development. Coaching institutes only train you to “get the solution,” not to think, question, or create. Curiosity-based learning is what actually builds a powerful mind.

There is no solution for 150 cr population with few thousand seats. You can say we need this need that but there is no proper solution for such a large population fighting for so few seats. Life is hell

Some JEE toppers struggle at IIT because of primarily 2 reasons 1. They believe life set hain, and lose the fire in them. 2. They entered because of 15-7.5-27-10. Curiousity, tbh, does not have any role in making or not making JEE toppers struggle at IITs.

So, if you preparing yourself for iit, you are killing your curiosity, and if you are curious and having real world problem solving mindset, you ll not get iit.

If you don't study hard, you will struggle at IIT. Your competition is putting in a lot of hours, too. It is that simple.

It kind of becomes tiring & lonely after a while I guess, many talented students who top schools & districts are unable to keep with the rigour and fast paced IIT culture. I've seen plenty of such cases.

Many struggle and then bounce back. Don't take this at face value. Many of my friends struggled initially, not because they were not intelligent, it's just a step change and people take time. But the bounce back is very powerful. Also math101 causes a significant panic.

When students apply the choice answers to fit into the formulae, it becomes reverse learning, That is exactly what many coaching institutions do, and not solving the formulae or the equation.

He is right, but unfortunately this is how the merit is decided. Ask questions that coaching centers can not prepare you for.

As if IIT academics are any different lol, in fact IIT academics are even more based on rote learning and making you go through a lot of material in a very very shot period of time
